17 6 km/hr
7
25 km/hr
30 km/hr
35 km/hr
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Time taken = 1 hr 40 min 48 sec = 1 hr 40 4 min = 1 51 hrs = 126 hrs.
5 75 75

Let the actual speed be x km/hr.

Then, 5 x x 126 = 42

@Nikita,

Please solve and explain the following step.
(204/5)/60 = 51/75.
Like if I do (204/5)/60 = 4.8/60 = 0.08.

@ Divya.

1hr = 60min
1min = 60 sec
Then 60min = 60 * 60 sec.
Thus 1 hr = 60 * 60 sec = 3600 sec.

Hope it helps.

1 hr 40 kins 48 secs=1.68hrs. The speed is 42/1.68=25.
25*5/7=125/7=17 6/7.

But I want to know how it came 30?

1 hr 40min 48sec means 1hr 40min 48/60*60=1hr 40min 1/75 means converting sec in to min then min in to hrs.

Hi. Why don't we cut 126/75=42/25? If it's right means the answer will become 25. Is it right or wrong?

Suppose actual speed is x km/hr.

1 hr 40 min 48 sec = 6048/3600 hr.

42/5/7x = 6048/3600.

x = 35.

1 hr 40min 48sec= 1 + 40/60 + 48/(60*60) hrs
=1+ 2/3 + 4/300
=(300+200+4)/300
=504/300
=126/75

1 sec = 0. 01666667.

48 sec * 0. 01666667.

= 0. 8.

= 8/10.

= 4/5.

Hope you got the answer.
