It tells that earn rs16.66 by investing Rs 64.

By earn rs100 we need to invest in 8 shares(16.66 * 8 = 100) so for earn 1500 need to purchase 8*15 = 120shares.
1share = 64rs.
So total investment =64 * 120 = 5760.

6 * 16.66 = 100.
For 1500 = 6 * 15 = 90shares,
1share Rs 64.
Then investment is 90 * 64 = 5760.

How could I understand that 50/3 the earning?

I can't able to know how it comes 50/3? Please explain.

3*16+2 = 50/3.
50/3 = 16.66.

Rs.64 -- 16.66.
Rs. ? -- 1.

= 3.84.

1500*3.84 = 5760.

"Earning" here implies dividend on the total face value of the stocks (and NOT on the investment amount).
