Here, 6 is the correct answer.
15500-12500=3000.
Formula:
SI=PNR/100.
3000=12500*4*R/100.
3000*100/12500*4=R.
300000/50000=R.
R=6%.
15500-12500=3000.
Formula:
SI=PNR/100.
3000=12500*4*R/100.
3000*100/12500*4=R.
300000/50000=R.
R=6%.

The calculation used to calculate rate gives out 30 as the answer.
[(3000 x 100)/(12500 x 4)] = 30. NOT 6.
Can anyone throw a light on this?
[(3000 x 100)/(12500 x 4)] = 30. NOT 6.

In that question we are having 3 rate values,so we substitue one by one values then we get the corrct values.for example:
p=12500
n=4
r=3 or 4 or 5 or 6
If we sub:3
12500*4*3/100=1500
1500+12500=14000,we are not getting the correct amount value then
We sub another,
12500*6*4/100=3000
3000+12500=15500,
Now we got the correct value.
p=12500
n=4
r=3 or 4 or 5 or 6
If we sub:3
12500*4*3/100=1500
1500+12500=14000,we are not getting the correct amount value then
We sub another,
12500*6*4/100=3000
3000+12500=15500,
Now we got the correct value.

Is it like
Amount= P + S.I
Amount= P + (P*T*R)/100 ?
Amount= P + S.I
Amount= P + (P*T*R)/100 ?

Still I deosn't understand why we have to consider SI as sub 1550 from12500.

Amount = principal + simple interest.
Dats why we subtracted amount and principal to have the simple interest.
Dats why we subtracted amount and principal to have the simple interest.
