3%
4%
5%
6%
None of these
Answer: Option
Explanation:

S.I. = Rs. (15500 - 12500) = Rs. 3000.

Hi. Why we took 12500 as principal?

Junaid said:   1 decade ago
By using the formula:

I = P R T/100.

I = 15, 500-12, 500 = 3000.

3000 = 12, 500*R*4/100.

3000*100 = 12, 500*4 R.

300000 = 50000 R.

R = 300000/50000.

R = 6%.

Why we take P = 12500 any why not 15500?

When we do following steps:

3000*100/12500*4=96.

We get 96 as a answer, then how 6% is your answer?

Just explain me in detail.

S.I per annum = (15500-12500)/4 = 750.

Rate = (S.I*100)/(P*T).

= (750*100)/(12500*4).

= 75000/50000 = 1.5.

Since interest is for four years, multiply by 4, thus; 1.5*4 yrs = 6.

Therefore are (rate) = 6%.

4.65*10 = 46.5.
46.5*2 = 93.
Hence 20 days.

Friends its very simple.

15500-12500 = 3000 /4 = 750.

750*100/12500 = 6%.

Here.

P = 12500.
T = 4 years.

Amount = S.I+P.

S.I = Amount-P.

S.I = 15500-12500 = 3000.

R = 100*S.I/P*T = 100*3000/12500*4 = 6%.

12500*6% = 750.
750*4 = 3000.
12500+3000 = 15500.

--> 12500*6% = 750.

---> 750*4 = 3000.

---> 12500+3000 = 15500.

Answer: 6%.
