Answer: Option
Explanation:
Originally, let the number of boys and girls in the college be 7x and 8x respectively.

We can write 7:8 as 7x and 8x . If x = 1000.
Then 7000 : 8000.
20% of 7000 = 1400 then total boys = 7000+1400 = 8400;
10% of 8000 = 800 then total girls = 8800.
So the new ratio is 8400:8800 which is 21:22.
Then 7000 : 8000.
20% of 7000 = 1400 then total boys = 7000+1400 = 8400;
10% of 8000 = 800 then total girls = 8800.
So the new ratio is 8400:8800 which is 21:22.

The first ratio is 7 increase proposal is 120 (100% + 20%).
The second ratio is 8 increase proposal is 110 (100 + 10%).
The ratio is 7 * 120 = 840 : 8 * 110 = 880.
The answer of the new ratio is 21 : 22.
The second ratio is 8 increase proposal is 110 (100 + 10%).
The ratio is 7 * 120 = 840 : 8 * 110 = 880.
The answer of the new ratio is 21 : 22.

Given 7:8.
They said there is 20% and 10% increase in this ratio
Which means with this 7 , there is 20% increase of 7 .similarly for 8
That is;
7 + 7 * 20/100 : 8+8*10/100.
7+ 7/5 : 8+4/5,
21:22.

Let the no of boys be 7x and no of girls be 8x.
If it is increased by 20 and 10 per cent lets take x as 10 they will 70 and 80 and the increase will be 84 and 88 the ratio is 84 :88 that is 21:22.
If it is increased by 20 and 10 per cent lets take x as 10 they will 70 and 80 and the increase will be 84 and 88 the ratio is 84 :88 that is 21:22.

Let's suppose.
Total 15* 10 = 150
Boys 70
And girls 80.
20% of boys = 14 + 70 = 84.
10% of girls = 80 + 10 = 88.
84:88 divided by 2.
And the Answer is 21:22.
Total 15* 10 = 150
Boys 70
And girls 80.
20% of boys = 14 + 70 = 84.
10% of girls = 80 + 10 = 88.
84:88 divided by 2.
And the Answer is 21:22.

20% of 7=14/10,total increase 7+14/10=84/10
10% of 8=8/10,total increase 8+8/10=88/10
now compare ratio of Boys and Girls
84/10:88/10
or 84:88
or 42:44
or 21:22
10% of 8=8/10,total increase 8+8/10=88/10
now compare ratio of Boys and Girls
84/10:88/10
or 84:88
or 42:44
or 21:22

7+8=15.
%= 15+100=150,
7:8 increase by 20% & 10%,
70= 20%=14,
80=10%=8,
Therefore, 70+14=84,
80+8=88,
84:88,
Divide by 4,
Hence new ratio is;
21:22.
%= 15+100=150,
7:8 increase by 20% & 10%,
70= 20%=14,
80=10%=8,
Therefore, 70+14=84,
80+8=88,
84:88,
Divide by 4,
Hence new ratio is;
21:22.

20%of7 = 7/5 that means boys total = 7+7/5.
=42/5.
10%of8 = 4/5 that means girls total = 8+4/5 = 44/5.
Boys : Girls = 42/5:44/5.
=42:44.
=21:22.
=42/5.
10%of8 = 4/5 that means girls total = 8+4/5 = 44/5.
Boys : Girls = 42/5:44/5.
=42:44.
=21:22.

Remember x:y = x/y.
So, Here 42/5:44/5 =[42/5]/[44/5] then simply cancel 5 and div 42 and 44 by 2.
You will get 21/22 as Said x/y =x:y.
So, 21 : 22.

We assume that the ratio is between 700 : and 800.
Increases 20% to 700 = 140 and 10% to 800 = 80.
840 : 880/80.
10.5 : 11 * 2.
= 21 : 22.
Increases 20% to 700 = 140 and 10% to 800 = 80.
840 : 880/80.
10.5 : 11 * 2.
= 21 : 22.
