2 : 3 : same as second (3).
same as second (5) : 5 : 8.
2*5 = 10 || 3*5 = 15 || 3*8 = 24,
Combined ratio: 10:15:24.
The Sum of ratios: 10+15+24 = 49.
Actual sum: 98.
Multiply by 2: 10×2=20, 15×2=30, 24×2=48.
Second number: 30.

A : B = 2 : 3
B:C = 5:8
Given, A + B + C = 98.
A : B = 2 : 3
B : C = 5 : 8
Now, A : B : C = (2 * 5) : (5 * 3) : (3 * 8),
= 10 : 15 : 24.
The sum of these numbers is 49 which is not equal to 98. So multiple ratio with 2.
(10 : 15 : 24) * 2 = 20 : 30 : 48.
The sum of these numbers is 98.
Therefore 2nd number is 30.
