This is a question on equivalent fraction. Since the ratio's are not equivalent, converting into equivalent fraction as under :
1/2 = 6/12
2/3 = 8/12
3/4 = 9/12
Hence, the ratio's are
6:8:9
or
6/23 ; 8/23; 9/23
First part : 782 * 6/23 = 204
Second part : 782 * 8/23 = 274
Third part : 782 * 9/23 = 306
1/2 = 6/12
2/3 = 8/12
3/4 = 9/12
Hence, the ratio's are
6:8:9

1+1/2+1/2= 1+0.5+0.5.
5000/2=2500.
1*2500=2500.
0.5*2500=1250.
0.5*2500=1250.
2500+1250+1250= 5000.
1+1/2+1/2= 1+0.5+0.5.
5000/2=2500.

Do LCM of 2,3,4.=12.
Now 1/2*12=6,2/3*12=8,3/4*12=9. That's 6:8:9.

1:2 is multiplyed by 6/6 then it will be 6/12,in second case 2:3 is multiplyed by 4/4 then 8/12, and 3:4 multyplyed by 3/3 then 9/12; it is done because of doing denominators equal,new ratio becomes 6:8:9.
