Your doubt is 90/80.

Because 40/45*90.

= 8/9*90.

9 divided by 90, answer is 10.

Then, 8*10 = 80.

B give C in a game of 90.

= 90/80. Ratio 90:80.

90-80 = 10.

Answer: B give C 10 points in a game of 90.

Here 45/40 is for a game of point 60. They asked how many point can B give to C in a game of 90.

So convert B ie. 45 to 90 which is multiply (45 * 2) = 90 multiply by the same with 40 ie 40 * 2 = 80 then we get;
90/80 so B give C 10 points in a game of 90.

How A : B should be 60 : 45?

60-15 = 45
and 60-20 = 40 (remember this time it 60 points ,not a 100 meter race .)
Ratio will be A:B 60:45 and A:C 60:40.

Now B/A*A/C = B/C = B:C = 45/60*60/40 = 9:8 ,so B:C = 9:8
Multiply 10 in both rato, coz it will change nothing
Now it's B:C = 90:80.
90-80=10points , these 10 points B can give C in a game of 90.
