One third=1/3.
One fourth=1/4.

i.e 1/3*1/4*x=15(in between one third and one fourth "of" is there."of" indicates multiplication(*)).
Now,
1/12*x=15.
x=12*15.
x=180.
Now he is asking three tenth number
3/10*x=3/10*180=54.
Thats it. Those who didn't understand make a comment.

In problem they given that one third of one fourth is equal to 15.
So 15 = 1/12.
= 12*15.
= 180.

Go from answer to question !
If we take 54 it is 3/10 then divide 54 by 3 i.e. 54/3 =18*10=180.
