Aptitude - Problems on Ages - Discussion

Suppose Ayesha was born in year 1990.
Then acc. to question, her brother who is 4 years younger to her
Should have born in 1994.

Now her father's age in 1990: 38.
Therefore, her father's age in 1994: 38 + 4 = 42.
Thus difference between ages of parents in year 1994:
42(father's age) - 36(mother's age) = 6 years.

When Aisa born his father was 38. After 4 year his brother was born, so father become 38+4=42.

Mother age when brother was born = 36.

So the difference when brother born 42-36 = 6 years.

Here condition is given that @Ayesha is smaller than his brother so I think answer is 2.

See the @Virender rajput answer it is clear. In question they didn't give any pull stop(.) and comma(,) if you see care fully they gave the mother age is when her brother born means it is 36 but her father age at Ayesha's born so we have to add 4 years to father age.
