Hi Navneet Sama,
Take a look at the below lines:
Simran invested Rs. 50,000 for 36 months (3 years).
Nanda invested Rs. 80,000 for 30 months only (bcz he joined 6 months later, so 36 - 6 = 30 months).
Therefore, the ratio of their contribution is
= (Simran's Invested Amount X No. of Months) : (Nanda's Invested Amount x No. of months)
= (50,000 x 36) : (80,000 x 30)
= 18,00,000 : 24,00,000
= 18 : 24
= 3 : 4 (I hope this is what you expected).
Now, Total contribution is (3 + 4) = 7.
This means that
1. Simran's contribution is (3 out of 7) = 3/7.
2. Nanda's contribution is (4 out of 7) = 4/7.
If profit is Rs.7 means, Simran will take Rs. 3 and nanda will take Rs. 4.
If profit is Rs. 24,500, then Simran will take 24,000 x 3/7 = Rs. 10,500.

If profit is Rs. 24,500, then Simran will take 24,000 x 3/7 = Rs. 10,500.
In this why did you take 24,000 profit, instead of taking 24,500 profit?

Similarly if you calculate Nandan's profit and add it the some will be not be 24500.

We can also do in simple way.
See total profit = 24500.
Simran invested Rs 50000.
Nanda invested Rs 80000.
Lets take in this way 50000/80000.
It comes 5/8.
And simran invested money for 36 months, Nanda 30 months.
Lets take in this way 36/30.
It comes 6/5.
So 5/8*6/5 = 3/4, 3+4=7.
Then profit is 24500.
Lets take Simran profit is 3/7=24500 = 10500.
