Add 5 to 1st number.
Then add (5+3) to the next number.
Then add (5+3+3) to the next number.
Then add (5+3+3+3) to the next number and so on.
So 47 is wrong it must be replaced by 46.

I answered 32 because I thought it was the only even number in the entire series. What's wrong in that?

The difference between 63 and 47 is ''16" not 17. Had it been "64" instead of 63 the explanation as well as question be correct.
