The difference between adjacent numbers is even. But for 21 it is not true.
Hence the answer is 21.

For 24, karthik's logic is not valid. For this case the difference is also odd. Thus the logic given by karthik is wrong.

@ karthik
here even doesn't mean difference b/w numbers but except 21 rest numbers are even..

21 is odd man out

Shraddha said: (May 20, 2011)
Here the logic is :
5*2 = 10
7*2 = 14
8*2 = 16...& so on
there for 21 is the right answer...

Linta&Amp;Sruthy said: (Jun 28, 2011)
21is the correct answer because all the other numbers can be perfectly divided by 2

Viren Maan said: (Jul 23, 2011)
@shraddha your logic is wrong
as u said
Here the logic is :
5*2 = 10
7*2 = 14
8*2 = 16...& so on
So where is 6*2 ??????

Monika said: (Oct 8, 2011)
@shradda.

There is no term for 6*2 &also it doesnot match for 11*2.

Bindu said: (Apr 25, 2012)
10+4=14
14+2=16
16+2=18
Again the number 18 is added with 4
18+4=22
22+2=24
24+2=26
So we will add 4,2,2,4,2,2

Harika said: (Jun 14, 2012)
All the numbers are divisible by 2 but not 21. So the answer is 21.

Sonutalwani said: (Jun 28, 2012)
All number is divided by 2 but 21 is not divided by 2 and all number are even but 21 is odd number.

Devika said: (Aug 10, 2012)
Except 21 all are even. So I do think Shraddha's logic is wrong and no need to think about because the answer of this is in simple logic. Karthik don't you think that you need not go so deep?

Raja said: (Apr 29, 2013)
Added the numbers to previous numbers
4,2,2
and
4,2,2

That format in the 21 place we get the 20 only.

That's why 21 is odd man out.

All the numbers are multiples of 3 except 26.

Kishore said: (Jun 23, 2015)
5*2=10.
7*2=14.
8*2=16.
9*2=18.
11*2=22.
12*2=24.

Here you observe that 11*2=22, but in quest it was given 21. So the answer is 21.

All the numbers are multiples of 3 except 26. So even we can consider 26.

Jikesh said: (Dec 20, 2015)
All the number divided by 2 except 21. So answer is 21.

Santosh said: (Mar 4, 2016)
I agree with @Bala krishnan even I thought the same. In table of 3 the numbers follows. 3x6=18, 3x7=21, 3x8=24. So A26 is oddman out.

Abhinav said: (May 26, 2016)
All are multiples of 2 except 21 so it is an odd number.

Sanket said: (Sep 10, 2016)
21 is not an even number. So the odd man out is 21.

10, 14, 16, 18, 21, 24, 26

another method in my view is :-
10 = 2 * 5
14 = 2 * 7
16 = 2 * 8
18 = 2 * 9
21 = (21 is not multiply by 2 with any number).
24 = 2 * 12
26 = 2 * 13.

Nidheesh said: (Jan 1, 2017)
16 is only one perfect square. Others are not a perfect square. So two answer for this question.

Ankit Singh said: (Jan 8, 2017)
(a) 26 is also right because except this all of them are multiple of 3.

Harika said: (May 2, 2018)
Because 21 is not a multiple of 2.
