27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.
Soln:
(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)
D%8 = R -------------(2)
From equation(2),
((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.
=> Assume Q = 1.
=> (56+29)%8 = R.
=> 85%8 = R
=> 5 = R.

N=56*K+29.
By divide 8.
8*7*k+8*3+5.
8(7k+8)+5.
Remainder = 5 dividing 8.
By divide 8.
8*7*k+8*3+5.
8(7k+8)+5.
Remainder = 5 dividing 8.

56 is completely divisible by 8.
So answer is reminder of 29/8 i.e. 5.
NOTE: Above procedure is applicable only because 8 is a factor of 56. Otherwise it is not possible to find a particular answer.

x = 56p+29 => (8*7p+8*3)+5.
=> 8(7p+3)+5.
So remainder is 5.
=> 8(7p+3)+5.
So remainder is 5.

Let the number be x and quotient be y.
According to the rule: Dividend=Divisor*Quotient+Remainder. (eq....1).
In 1st case divisor is 56, number is x, quotient is y and remainder is 29.
Keeping values in eq....(1).
x = 56*y+29.
Now lets break this in multiples of 8 to get the remainder by 8.
x = (8*7q)+(8*3)+5.
c = 8(7q+3)+((5)).
Hence 5 is the answer.

n = s*56+29.
n = s*56/8+24/8+5/8.
n = s*+0+0+5.
n = 56*29=1624.
1624/56 = 29 remainder.
1625/8 = 5 remainder.
n = s*56/8+24/8+5/8.
n = s*+0+0+5.
n = 56*29=1624.
1624/56 = 29 remainder.
1625/8 = 5 remainder.

Dividend = divisor*quotient+remainder.
Let dividend = x.
Divisor = 56.
Remainder = 29.
x = 56*a + 29.
This equation clearly indicates sub division of x.
That means x is divisible by 8 and 56*a is also divisible by 8 but when we divide 29 by 8 we get 5 as remainder.

Since 56 is divisible by 8, we only need to find the remainder when 29 is divided by 8.

The number can be written as 56K+29. Put any whole value of k i.e. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.
Therefore 29/8 gives remainder 5 or 56+29 = 85/8 gives remainder 5.
Therefore 29/8 gives remainder 5 or 56+29 = 85/8 gives remainder 5.

Its simple method:
Number(x) which or divisible by 56 reminder is 29.
56 can completely divisible by 8. So that number (x) is also completely divisible by 8. So forget about that x.
Next go for reminder 29. It is divisible by 8 gave 5 as remainder. So the answer is 5.
