27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
4
5
6
7
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.

Soln:

(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)

D%8 = R -------------(2)

From equation(2),

((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.

=> Assume Q = 1.

=> (56+29)%8 = R.

=> 85%8 = R

=> 5 = R.

Simple way.

No need to do all this.

A number is divided by 56 and remainder was 29.
So 56+29=85.

Again 85/8 the remainder is 5 (answer).

Suppose the remainder obtained while dividing x by 61 is 2. Then, What is the remainder obtained while dividing x to the power of 7 by 61?

Can anyone solve this?

A number whrn divided by a certain division, left a remainder of 8. When the same number was multiplied by 12 & then divided by the same divisor, the remainder is 12. How many are such divisors?

Can anyone solve this?

Number = 56x + 29 ( μ since the number gives 29 as remainder on dividing by 56).
= (7 * 8 * x) + (3 * 8) + 5.

Hence, if the number is divided by 8, we will get 5 as remainder.

What should be added to the dividend so that there is no remainder in 112/5?

Can anybody tell me how to solve this and what is the answer?
