On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
4
5
6
7
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.

Soln:

(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)

D%8 = R -------------(2)

From equation(2),

((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.

=> Assume Q = 1.

=> (56+29)%8 = R.

=> 85%8 = R

=> 5 = R.

Let the number be X
acording to ? by / X by 56 remainder is 29
this means that x velue is =56*29=85 (remember in ? two numers substraction is not given, 85/56=1 and remainder is 29)
85/8= remainder is 5
this is the simple explanation

You take a number like 5853 which is divisible by 56 and remainder is 29 after that this no. Divided by 8 and answer. Is 5.

56q+29=((7*8q)+(8*3+5))

So 5 is remainder

We know 56 is divisible by 8,
so a number divisible by 56, remainder is 29,
then 29/8, we got 5 remainder.
so ans is: 5

Remainder by 56=29
56/8 leaves 0 as remainder
So, 29/8 leaves 5 as remainder
hence answer is 5

56y+29=x
similarly 8y+k=x
so, 56y+29=8y+k
48y+29=k
8(6y+3)+5=k
Hence remainder is 5.

56)x(Q
_
29
so ,56*29=1624
1624+29=1653
so,1653%8=206 vid rem=5

Let 56*2+29=141 is divisible by 56 leaving remainder 29.

Now divide 141 by 8 we get remainder as 5.

x= 56+29
= 85
when 85 is divided by 8 we get,
remainder= 85/8
= 5
this will be the answer.
