27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.
Soln:
(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)
D%8 = R -------------(2)
From equation(2),
((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.
=> Assume Q = 1.
=> (56+29)%8 = R.
=> 85%8 = R
=> 5 = R.

29/8 remainder 5 answer is right.
This trick is possible only if there is a relationship. i.e. 8*7 = 56.

Consider the number is 29.
If you divide 29/56 you will get 29 remainder.
So 29/8 yields 5 remainder.
If you divide 29/56 you will get 29 remainder.
So 29/8 yields 5 remainder.

Let the number is divided by 56 be x.
Now x = 56 x Quotient (=1) + 29
x = 85.
85/8 = Remainder (5)
Now x = 56 x Quotient (=1) + 29
x = 85.
85/8 = Remainder (5)

Let y be the number divided.
Therefore, y = 56q+29.
= 8*7q+8*3+5.
= 8(7q+3)+5.
So remainder is 5.
Therefore, y = 56q+29.
= 8*7q+8*3+5.
= 8(7q+3)+5.
So remainder is 5.

x= 56+29
= 85
when 85 is divided by 8 we get,
remainder= 85/8
= 5
this will be the answer.
= 85
when 85 is divided by 8 we get,
remainder= 85/8
= 5
this will be the answer.

Let 56*2+29=141 is divisible by 56 leaving remainder 29.
Now divide 141 by 8 we get remainder as 5.
Now divide 141 by 8 we get remainder as 5.

Let x be the number.
Then, x = 56k + 29 = 56k + 24 + 5 = 8(7k + 3) + 5
Hence remainder will be 5.
Then, x = 56k + 29 = 56k + 24 + 5 = 8(7k + 3) + 5
Hence remainder will be 5.

Simply to assume a number, add 29 into 56 we will get 85, now devide 85 by 8 remainder will be 5.

When 29 is divided divided by 8 we get quotient as 3 and remainder as 5 so answer is 5 very easy.
