9+7+2+1+5+6 = 30 + 3 = 33.
33/11=3.
So, the answer is 3.
33/11=3.
So, the answer is 3.

=>(9+2+5+6)-(7+1+ * +6),
=>(22-14+ * ),
=>(8+*),
to be divisible by 11, the sum should be either 11 or 0.
So if we substitute 3 from the options we get sum =11 which is divisible by 11

Hi all you can collect your answer also this way.
Just add all the number given in the question which is 30 & after that add the option numeric given in answers.
In a the total is 33, which is divisible by 11 correct. And no other option are divisible by 11.

Hi Pradeep... the method you suggested is wrong. you were lucky to get the answer in this case. consider another number divisible by 11.
Eg: 17732. say it is given 177x2. you have to find x.
So going by your method u add the digits, ie (1+7+7+x+2)=(17+x), which must be divisible by 11.
So you will suggest 5 here. But the original number was 3. So your method is wrong.
Best way is to follow the correct technique.
ie, (1-7+7-x+2) = (3-x), which must be divisible by 11.
So replace x with 3.

given number=97215x6
then (9+7+2+1+5+x+6)=(30+x), which must be divisible by 11.
then we replace x = 3
then (9+7+2+1+5+x+6)=(30+x), which must be divisible by 11.
then we replace x = 3
