296 is exactly divisible with 37.
So just divide the remainder with 37 then we will get required remainder.
So just divide the remainder with 37 then we will get required remainder.

(divisor * quotent) + remainder = dividend.
Why this formula can't be used?

Let x = 296+75(dividend=(divisor*quotient)+remainder).
x = 371.
x = 371.

Another method is to just add 75 to 296 and then divide it by 37.

LET X=296q+75
=(37*8q+37*2)+1
=37(8q+2)+1...datz it
1 is the remainder
=(37*8q+37*2)+1
=37(8q+2)+1...datz it
1 is the remainder
