See, it is given in the question that the clock is initially 2 minutes slow and after 7 days and 2 hours it is 4 minutes 48 seconds fast. So in this whole journey of 7 days and 2 hours the clock has to first gain that 2 minutes which is lost initially, then only the clock will be able to gain 4 minutes 48 seconds.
So, it is asked in the question that when between the journey the clock will gain that 2minutes.
Hope it helps.

@Nitin
Initially, it is 2 min low at 12 pm so to compensate that loss 2min gain is there but at last, why do they calculate for 2 min gain individually? Explain it.

@All.
Gaining always count from the correct time. 4min gain from correct time but the clock is late by 2min also, therefore, we must include the time (from -2min to correct time) and then add 4 min to them.

2 min late means that at some point it will show correct time and then after that it gains 4 min 48 sec. So total gain= 2min to correct time to 4 min 48 sec i.e. 2+4min48sec.

(2 min + 4 min 48 seconds)=(408 seconds).
For 170 hours.
For 1 hr (408/170)=2.4 seconds,
For 120 seconds(2 min initially),
Hours=(120/2.4)=50.
So Wednesday 2 PM.
For 170 hours.
For 1 hr (408/170)=2.4 seconds,
For 120 seconds(2 min initially),
Hours=(120/2.4)=50.
So Wednesday 2 PM.

How we are getting after calculation 4min 48 sec in denominator i.e. (5?).
I understood 4*60=240 but I am not getting that how 5 came in the denominator.
Please, anyone help me. Thanks.
