On what dates of April, 2001 did Wednesday fall?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
We shall find the day on 1st April, 2001.
1st April, 2001 = (2000 years + Period from 1.1.2001 to 1.4.2001)
Odd days in 1600 years = 0
Odd days in 400 years = 0
Jan. Feb. March April
(31 + 28 + 31 + 1) = 91 days 0 odd days.
Total number of odd days = (0 + 0 + 0) = 0
On 1st April, 2001 it was Sunday.
In April, 2001 Wednesday falls on 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.

Simple method:
Firstly, I would like to thanks Deena, and remember the month code for Wednesday is 4
(-i.e,Sunday=1 Monday=2 ...continues upto Saturday takes=7(or)0).
We want Wednesday dates, from month code start.
Wednesday=4.
4+7=11(7days repeated),
11+7=18,
18+7=25,
The answer is 4,11,18,25.

Odd days in 1600 years = 0.
Odd days in 400 years = 0.
Jan. Feb. March April.
(31 + 28 + 31 + 1) = 91 days 0 odd days.
Total number of odd days = (0 + 0 + 0) = 0.
I can't understand how 1600 &400 are odd days. &u say 91 also odd days.
Please explain briefly with example.
Odd days in 400 years = 0.

(31 + 28 + 31 + 1) = 91 days 0 odd days.
Total number of odd days = (0 + 0 + 0) = 0.

See Mr. Ravi, 2000=1600+400 (why because those are leap century years)
how is possible 91 is odd day.
See, 91/7 = 13weeks + 0 days.
I already said that extra days of a week are odd days. Here we have 0 days (so, we don't have odd days).

Odd days are after completion of a week/weeks any extra days we get are called odd days.
For example:
Take a year, one year contains 365 days (non leap year), divide it with 7
= 365/7
= 52+1 (meaning that 52 weeks + 1 odd days).

I think here the 91(It should be 90) days calculation is wrong.
we must not take April day since we have to find that one and we already take all the days from the start of 1st year to 1.4.2001. THEN April 1st is Sunday.

Can someone explain why we also added 1 April.
Why (31+28+31+1) =91.
And why not (31+28+31) = 90 because we have to find no of odd days before April so that we can find day on 1 April.
Can someone explain?
Why (31+28+31+1) =91.
And why not (31+28+31) = 90 because we have to find no of odd days before April so that we can find day on 1 April.

@Masthan.
Please explain this. It's very short. But how to do this?
x+2+1+25+6 = 3.
x+34-3 = 0.
x+31 = 0.
x+28+3 = 0 (28/7 = 0).
x+3 = 0.
4+3 = 7 = 0 (7/7 = 0).
x = 4, 11, 18, 25.

Here, present year 2001.
But we take a number of completed years.
Here just know the week on that data we have to choose Wednesday and +7 next repeated.
I hope you understand.
