Yes, Tuesday is the right answer because in 2008 it was not crossed February. So only one odd day Monday + 1 = Tuesday.

Since 2008 is a leap year we should not count 2 odd days because the year was not completed.
2007:1 odd day.
Monday + 1 odd day = Tuesday.
2007:1 odd day.
Monday + 1 odd day = Tuesday.

It will be Sunday.
As we know that calender repeats itself after every 400 years.
Doomsday's for that 400 years are.
1800 - 1899 Friday.
1900 - 1999 Wednesday.
2000 -2099 Tuesday.
2100 - 2199 Sunday.
So 1800. , 1400, 1000, 600, 200 all will have Friday as doomsday.
So 200 AD has Friday as doomsday.
100 AD has Sunday as doomsday.
0 AD has Tuesday as doomsday.
Now going forward in the intervals of 400 years from 0.
So 542695283200 AD (clearly divisible by 400) will have Tuesday as doomsday.
Now we have to calculate the doomsday of 17 th year of a century whose initial doomsday is Tuesday.
It will be similar to 2000-2099 (as 2000 has Tuesday as doomsday). So calculate the doomsday of 2017. That is Tuesday.
So 6 June of that year is Tuesday.
So clearly 25 June will be Sunday.

2007 Jan 1 to 2008 Jan 1 is 1 year, which means 1 odd day, so it would be Monday +1= tueday.
The jump would have been by 2 if the date in the question was after feb.

Since 2008 is a leap year. It has 2 odd days, so if January 1, 2007 was Monday, then Jan. 1, 2008 should be 2 days beyond Monday, which is Wednesday.

2008=1600+400+8
1600=0 odd day
400 = 0 odd days
8 =8/4=2 leap year + 6 ordinary year
=2*2=4 + 6*1 =10
10/7=3 (Wednesday)
1600=0 odd day
400 = 0 odd days
8 =8/4=2 leap year + 6 ordinary year
=2*2=4 + 6*1 =10
10/7=3 (Wednesday)
