Here the verb indicates the first person noun (i.e)'I'. if the

word indicates the noun second person (i.e) he, it must be come

in the order of "verb+s".......

Beside is the word used when a person is sitting or standing.

There is nothing to do with first person or second person, if in the question He is used instead of I then also "Beside" will be the answer,
"Besides" is used to indicate "In addtion to" always.

Eg. Besides being a teacher,he is a skilled craftsman.
