TCS PATTERN - 23 MAY 2010 - HYDERABAD
My name is Hari Kishan. I applied for TCS on tcs poral. I got a mail to attend the apptitude test conducted on 23rd May. The pattern was completely changed. The test is Online test.
The new pattern of written test of TCS is 35 questions to be solved in one hour. The test was conducted in Vardhaman Engineering College, Hyderabad
There are no sections, no sectional cut offs. No need to mug up GRE Barron's book. There is no verbal section, no critical reasoning, no repeated aptitude questions from old papers.
Dont worry guys, the patten is very easy. the time given for the exam is more than enough. The questions are in very very low level standard, but they are tricky. The questions are lengthy, unnecessary data was given inorder to divert the attenction of the students. There are questions of length 10 to 14 lines, but it consists of unnecessary data. We shouldn't spend the time in studying all these unnecessary data, the useful information lies only on last 2 or 3 lines.
In 35 questions we can answer nearly 30 questions easily, 5 questions are thought provoking. There may be upper cut off, so try to answer 25-30 questions only.
In 35 questions, nearly 10-12 questions are of one line and everyone can answer them. So try to answer those questions first, move to lengthy questions later. We can move to any question, there is a chance of changing the answer if we choose a wrong choice. Start answering the questions from 1st question, if you find lengthy or confusing question move to next question. Dont waste time to solve that question, we can spend time to solve it after solving simple questions.
Negitive marking is also there, 0.33 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. I have taken the exam on 23rd May on Vardhaman Engineering college, Shamshabad in Hyderabad. I answered nearly 25 questions, I got selected in the written test. I failed in technical interview. There are only 3 rounds, written -- Technical -- H.R
There is no need prepare any book for Apptitude, the paper is very easy. Im not a highly talented student, Im an average student. I also answered the test easily.
1. ((63*63*63)-(27*27*27))/((63*63)+(63*27)+(27*27)) = ?
a3-b3=(a-b)(a2+ab+b2) (consider a3 = a*a*a)
2. Sum of ages of two persons is given and ratio of ages is given. find the age of first person after 7 years. (Unnecessary data given about the two persons in 4-5 lines to divert our attention)
3. Another problem on ages. Simple one as above (It also contains unuseful data)
4. blood relation qstn. simple one
5. A problem on average of student marks.
6. Coding and Decoding problem.
7. A word is given, letters are interchanged. If you arrange the letters as a meaningful word, What it refers to?
All the members had got the same question paper, but the questions are jumbled. Don't think that the new pattern is difficult. It is easy and we can solve it easily. All the best.
