1. A bus started from bustand at 8.00am, and after staying for 30 minutes at a destination, it returned back to the busstand. The destination is 27 miles from the busstand. The speed of the bus is 18mph. During the return journey bus travels with 50% faster speed.At what time does it return to the busstand?

19. A power unit is there by the bank of the river of 750 meters width. A cable is made from power unit to power a plant opposite to that of the river and 1500mts away from the power unit. The cost of the cable below water is Rs. 15/- per meter and cost of cable on the bank is Rs.12/- per meter. Find the total of laying the cable.
Ans. (750*15 + {1500-750}*12)  

20. In Madras, temperature at noon varies according to -t^2/2 + 8t + 3, where t is elapsed time. Find how much temperature more or less in 4pm to 9pm.
Ans. (put 9 & 4in eq. n subtract )  

21. The size of the bucket is N kb. The bucket fills at the rate of 0.1 kb per millisecond. A programmer sends a program to receiver. There it waits for 10 milliseconds. And response will be back to programmer in 20 milliseconds. How much time the program takes to get a response back to the programmer, after it is sent?
Ans. 30 ms (10+20)  

22. A man, a woman, and a child can do a piece of work in 6 days. Man only can do it in 24 days. Woman can do it in 16 days and in how many days child can do the same work?

Ans. 240 (2*12=24 ; 7*11=77 ; so 24*10=240)  

No sectional cutoff & no -ve marking...........but b carefull there can b upper cutoff which is not disclosed....so if u r sure dat u have done max. of them correct then better 2 leave a few but b sure 1st dat u b selected in how many u have attempted.  

3. Logical Reasoning
3  cases will b given each having 4-5 ques......all from BARRONS 12  EDITION solve all Analytical portions of all model test papers given at  the end.....n do all cases having ques. more than 4.....can leave those  cases which have ques less than 4 they r never asked....  

INTERVIEW (25 Jan 2008)  

1st was Technical round.. Be thorough with the subjects u have written in ur resume... n better prepare 4 C, C++ especially C programs are often asked..

In my technical round I was asked to make a program in C n about my sub related ques... Transducer.. just b confident in what ever u say.. confidence matters more den d knowledge......

Then comes HR round
in this round ur confidence level, stress level n all ur managerial skill r checked out.. they judge your analytical ability. They check 4 how u handle stress, ur confidence, communication skills, presence of mind, & overall personality....

what all this round needs is 2 b cool n 2 have a smile on ur face... mine was a stress interview.. there were 2 in my panel.. As I entered the cabin

Me : I apologized (I dint argued, it was dere trick 2 get me in stress....but I remain cool n said sorry... do not show ego in ur ans n if required say sorry)
Inter 2 :Y u wanna go 4 TCS
Me : told
Inter 2 : I m not satisfied
Inter 2 : Well how can u contribute 2 our organization ur IC knowledge is of no use..
Me : I explained
But still he wsnt satisfied.. he was again n again trying to bring me under stress

So this was my experience 4 my 1st interview.. What do u think would I have been selected. Yeah I was selected. there were 115 selections n I was 1 of them. Surprised right.. but what all u have 2 do is.. b confident, don't let stress take hold of u, don't react to any of dere ques....just give them response, and give ans.. from what u feel in u 4 dat ques do not mug up these ans they r of no use n this is d round where ur personality matters a lot. The way u carry urself is very important...
