Tomato is a vegetable, its fruit is consumed as a vegetable.
Simply, tomato belongs to the Solanaceae family. While fruits are different none of any fruit belongs to the Solanaceae family.

I agree, but I think option A is correct because even if the tomato was veg (if) then the fruit would still be outside both circles and vice versa with the fruit.

Tomatoes are botanically defined as fruits. So, Tomato is a type of fruit and Vegetable is different.
