Scientifically speaking, a tomato is definitely a fruit. True fruits are developed from the ovary in the base of the flower, and contain the seeds of the plant (though cultivated forms may be seedless).

Therefore A is the correct answer.

If the tomato is considered as fruit then vegetable is different.
Similarly. if the tomato is considered as a vegetable then fruit is different.
In both the ways if we analyse we get common answer as option A.
