The given answer is correct, as when the both diagonally shaded faces are joined, they must coincide as in fig4. Think logically.

Numbering the all blank place as 1234 both on question and answer then we find answer easily.

It was very simple with the elimination technique.
First, we see fourth option is possible because of adjacent phases with a white surface.
So options three and four are eliminated now option one and two are left. Third is not possible because of the colour that the black and white combination pair his doesn't match with the third option, therefore, third is also eliminated. So, Option A will be the right answer.
