Option A is the correct answer.
Why because in question they particularly mention that x has only daughter.
That means there are no other children for x.

Question is only talking about the children not about the gender, don't go deeply with a question feel the essence and go simply for option A.

In statement 1, h is the only daughter of M, but none of the statement tells about the son of m. Thus both the statement are not sufficient.

A should be the answer because the question asks about the number of children-not the number of sons (which is given in the explanation).

The answer is D because no clarity regarding sons of M is given in the data and we are supposed to count the total number of children.

If H was given to be only child, could we say that answer would still be option D as M may have more than one wives ?

Statement 1 says that h is the only daughter here the word only means one right so according to me, A is correct.

We can not assume that M has another child. As given in statement M has only 1 daughter. So answer A is correct.

Answer is option(A) because question indicates how many children M have?
