                                  Directions to Solve

                                    The following questions are based on the information given below:
- A cuboid shaped wooden block has 4 cm length, 3 cm breadth and 5 cm height.
 - Two sides measuring 5 cm x 4 cm are coloured in red.
 - Two faces measuring 4 cm x 3 cm are coloured in blue.
 - Two faces measuring 5 cm x 3 cm are coloured in green.
 - Now the block is divided into small cubes of side 1 cm each.

4.
How many small cubes will have two faces coloured with red and green colours ?

                                    Answer: Option
                                                    Explanation:

Required number of small cubes = 6 from the top and 6 from the bottom = 12

                According to me, the Answer is 24.
4(n1-2) + 4 (n2-2) + 4(n3-2).
n = 4.
4*2 + 4*1 + 4*3 = 24.
                4(n1-2) + 4 (n2-2) + 4(n3-2).
n = 4.
4*2 + 4*1 + 4*3 = 24.

                We can determine in this way:
n1 = 4 cm /1 cm ( small cube side ) = 4.
n2 = 3/1 = 3.
n3 = 5/1 = 5.
5*4 side has Red colour,
5*3 side has a green colour. in these dimensions, 5 is common.
So the number of two face R-B colour is 4*(5-2) = 12.
Extra:-
In this manner, we can write,
5*4 is red and 4*3 is blue, sothe common is 4, hence,
number of two face R-B colour = 4*(4-2) = 8.
Also,
4*3 is blue and 5*3 is green so, 3 is common.
So,
number of two-face B-G colour = 4* ( 3-2) = 4.
Total number of two face colour = 12+8+4 = 24.
                n1 = 4 cm /1 cm ( small cube side ) = 4.
n2 = 3/1 = 3.
n3 = 5/1 = 5.
