It means that woman grand-daughter is the only daughter of his brother which imply that this girl is speaker's Nephew which simply implies that she that is a woman is her mom.

Here two options possible mother or grandmother.
Because they didn't mentioned maternal or paternal grand daughter. They mentioned grand daughter. So we can take it as;
Sons daughter (the woman is Abhijit mother here).
or daughters daughter(the woman is Abhijit mother in low in this case).
