MY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE AT ZS ASSOCIATES.

In this experience of mine, I will try to write down all the questions asked of me.

Well as the questions which you should be prepared with. Before you apply for.

This company. Hope this helps.

There were the following rounds in my case :
1. Written round.
2. Group Discussion.
3. Case Study.
4. Behavioral round.

There can be an extra round which would be HR.

1. WRITTEN ROUND.

The written round consisted of 4 parts. It was an adaptive round.

1) Quantitative Analysis: It consists of simple quantitative questions. You just. Need to have a good speed. Topics to be covered would be " Time and. Distance, Percentage, Work and Time, Probability, Number System,
Progressions, etc.

2) Verbal: There is no practice as such required for this part. Some questions.

Would be really simple and in others you will have to do the guesswork. Topics.
To be covered are Antonyms, Synonyms, Error Detection, and Sentence.
Completion, Scrambled sentences etc.

3) Logical reasoning: For this part, I would strongly recommend to practice.

Topics to be. Covered are: statements and conclusions, Statements and arguments, Relations, Number series, Statements and assumptions, Logical deduction etc.

4) Analytical ability: The questions in this part are very very simple. But the.

Time is really very less. The questions would be like counting numbers.
Straight lines in the figure, number of circles/ squares in the figure etc.
After the written round, many people were shortlisted. After this the G. D.
Round is optional. It depends on the number of people shortlisted.

2. GROUP DISCUSSION.

For this round, you need to be familiar with the current affairs. The topic is given.

To us was based on the PM visit to Japan.
I was able to do really well. So my suggestion for this round would be that.
They generally go with the very recent topics of current affairs, so just check.
Out all the main events of the last 30 days and you will be able to perform.
Good. Even if you don't know anything about the topic, you can keep quiet for.
A minute and let others speak and when you get the idea of the topic, you can.
Start putting up your views. Also, keep this in mind that if you are the one to.
Initiate, it's always a good thing but do this only if you are confident about the.
Topic. Also along with a good speaker, you must be a good listener.
After this round again many were eliminated.

3. CASE STUDY.

They will give you some cases to solve (30 mins) and based on that study there.

There will be some questions (30 minutes).
Type of questions: - There might be two choices whether to give the solution.
In terms of Database SQL query (very basic joins and all) Just tell them the.

Steps that you will follow.
In our case, we were given some sheets with information regarding some flights. There were a lot of tables which had various information.
Timings, fare, name of flight and many more things. The sheets also contained.
Some questions which you needed to understand and either write down or.
Just keep the stuff in your mind because later the interviewer will be asking them.

Questions.

For this round, I had prepared myself very nicely with basic dbms, but when the interviewer asked me about it, I clearly said that I was an ECE student and I.
Am unknown to DBMS. I did this so that I could impress him with my thoughts.
Process rather than disappoint him if he went too deep in DBMS. After that he.
Started asking questions on how to access some information and I was able to.
Give the answers in basic language like a flow chart and this worked in my Favor as he was really impressed by my thought process knowing that I have.

No idea of DBMS. Example of questions:
- They asked me how else could you represent the particular information. My.
The answer was that we can use histograms or pie charts because pictorial.
Representations are always better for comparison than the actual tables.
- They asked me how could make the tables more efficient. My answer.
There were many columns in different tables which were.
Repeated, so we can take care that there is no redundancy involved.
- They asked if there were any mistakes in it. So there were many entries.
The table which did not match the others in the same column, so basically those.
Were invalid. Also, there were some dates which don't really exist, etc.

- All the others were based on accessing a particular information from the.
A whole pool of data. So basically, if you know DBMS, you can explain the answers with the help of that. Or else you can use a normal flow chart. Always keep in mind that you need to.

Be interactive. Ask logical questions.

At the end, he asked if I had any questions. I simply asked the same thing that I. Had no idea of DBMS how it affected my interview and what did he.
Expect from me.
His answer was that we are engineers. We can learn anything within a week.
He just wanted to see my thought process and if it is good, then the.
Knowledge of DBMS won't matter at all. After this came the last round.

4. BEHAVIORAL ROUND.

This round basically consists of HR, projects as well as guesstimates.

The questions he asked me were a bit different from what I expected.

- Tell me about yourself.
- Give me an algorithm for division. Then he started asking questions like.
What if the dividend is negative or what if the divisor is negative?
- Give me an algorithm for swapping two numbers.
- Then he asked me why I wanted to join ZS.
- Tell me about any event you ever organized (because I said that I am more.
Of a management person and would always prefer companies like you over.
The core companies). And some more general questions like this.

- Do you have any questions for me?
But when you prepare for this round, you must be prepared with other things. Which were not asked of me. Go to the big riddles page and solve all the easy as well as medium riddles. They ask a lot of riddles.
You need to be good at guesstimates for which I preferred the Vault Guide to.

Case Interview (guesstimate section). This is a very important portion of this.

Round.
Be very well prepared for your projects.
THIS WAS THE END OF IT!
You must be very good with your communication skills and always be.
Confident. Finally, I was one of the 11 lucky people selected for ZS.
