Hey guys, I\'m an ECE student from JNTUH. Wipro visited my college last month and to begin with, it was pretty good placement experience.
The day started off with the pre-placement talk where they revealed the shocking news about conducting the whole process on the same day when it was actually scheduled for two days. Had a tough time getting my files from home with the help of my friend.
1st round: Group Discussion:
It was a casual gd where the topics were quite general (Eg: Women empowerment, 60 days of Modi govt, internet boon and bane). There were 15 students per group out of whom around 6 to 12 were selected depending on the performance.
2nd round: Written test:
It was a 90 min exam with division of time between the sections as well. There were 4 sections:
English 25 Q\'s -- 25 mins.
Logical reasoning 20 Q\'s -- 25 mins.
Quant 16 Q\'s -- 25 mins.
Programming concepts 15 Q\'s -- 15 mins.
English was quite easy and could be done in half the time, however the remaining time will not be forwarded to the next section.
Logical was also of medium level. Math was quite stressful but not hard.
Programming concepts was not limited to a single concept but C was dominating. Other questions included psuedo codes, data structures and sql server (1 or 2 q\'s).
3rd round: Technical interview:
There were all kinds of panels, some were nice and some were harsh, but fortunately I got a panel member who was quite easy going and mature. I mentioned in the beginning itself that i was not familiar with C and so he asked questions on SQL Sever which was my strength.
What is malloc and calloc? (the only C ques, which I obviously didn\'t answer)
What is inheritance?
What is table?
What is the use of primary key and foreign key?
Tested my knowledge on current and previous Android and Apple Operating systems.
He let me go with a small puzzle which I was able to solve.
4th round: HR round:
It was hardly for 5 mins. He asked questions about myself, my family and whether I\'m willing to relocate and explained about the bond. Be thorough with your resume. This round is not that hard to crack.
The results were announced that night itself. Wonderful to see my name on the list.
Happy placements to all. All the best.
