Hi all, Wipro visited our campus on 4th September.
They had three rounds and the third round (HR) is optional.
First one is online aptitude test and is conducted by amcat.
1) Verbal-25 questions.
2) Quantitative aptitude-16 questions.
3) Reasoning-16 questions.
4) Basics of c and ds-14 questions.
This section is very easy and all you have to do is to manage the time well.
Among 900 students only 320 are qualified.
Then we had to write an essay and it is a non elimination round, this is meant only to check our verbal skills.
Then the interview was held on the next day.
TR:
He made me comfortable first by asking just casual questions like how is the day and how are you feeling etc.
Then he asked me to introduce myself.
Everyone should prepare well for this question as this one gives an impression at the beginning and I introduced myself very well.
I am from ECE, he gave me a paper and asked me to write my favorite subjects.
I wrote communications and antennas, and he asked questions related to communications like why digital communication, what is modulation, cdma, tdma, fdma,
Then he asked about basic electronic questions like different types of diodes, transistors and their applications.
Then he asked me about my project and I explained to him very well and I can see that he is very impressed.
Then he asked me whether I am good at C language. I said I am Ok but not so good when it comes to coding.
He asked me to write fibonocci and one small basic multiplication program,
The interview lasted for almost an hour and I never knew how the time had flew as I was much comfortable answering those questions, I felt that he was trying to assess how much we have applied what we learnt and our communication skills.
He asked me whether I had any questions and I asked a few and he replied very well.
Then he said my interview was over and asked me to leave.
After 30 minutes, I was asked to wait for HR round.
After waiting for almost 4 hours, the HR called me.
HR:
1) He asked me to tell me something about myself which is not in my cv,
2) He was trying to pressurize me by saying why you all ece people come to IT, you are having very good offers in your core companies, I was trying to answer but he was interrupting me whenever I am about to say something.
3) Then he asked me to say something about my native place.
And started to ask some basics questions like why wipro, about my extra curricular activities, do you wish to relocate and are you ready for bond. I felt like I was not up to the mark in answering those questions. But I showed some confidence. The interview lasted for about just 10 minutes and then he asked me to leave.
At last I got selected in Wirpo.
Some of my friends didn\'t had HR round and they were also selected in TR round itself, so don\'t worry if you are not called for HR round.
Mainly confidence and good communications skills play a key role in interviews. Need not be technically sound but should be good in basics.
All the best :).
