Hello! I had my WIPRO placement process on 11-12 October,2013 at Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Tirupathi.

1. Group Discussion:

The candidates were divided into groups of 15 in a panel.
We got the topic as "Unity in diversity" and it lasted for about 10 mins.
3 of the 15 were eliminated in our panel.

2. On-line Written Test:
Pattern(not in order).

1. Quant - 25 Questions and 35 minutes.
2. Logical reasoning - 25 Questions and 35 minutes.
3. Verbal - 18 Questions and 16 minutes.
4. Subject Specific Questions.

All the sections were pretty easy but had sectional cut-off due to which a large number of the candidates were eliminated.

3. Essay Writing:

For all, the topic was "Power of press(written media)". This was not an elimination round.

4. TR:

Sir: Introduce yourself.
Me:(done)

Sir:(going through my essay) Tell me about the essay.
Me: blahblahblah........

Sir: How much do you know C? You have a very good academic profile.
Me: Sir, I can give myself a rating of 8 on a scale of 10.

Sir: Ok. Write a C program to accept a dynamic string, count the no. of characters, display the reversed string and show whether it is a palindrome or not without using strrev(),strlen().
Me:(done).

Sir: Are you aware of the agreement bond?
Me: No, Sir.

Sir:(explained)
Me: Okay. Fine Sir.

Sir: Are you okay with working in distant locations like Gurgaon, Kolkata?
Me. Ok .

Sir: I am asking will u be okay with it?
Me:(more confidently) Ok Sir.

Sir: Is this photo yours?
Me(smiling): Yes Sir.

Sir(smiling too): But it seems you have become lean and lost much weight.
Me: It\'s nothing like that Sir. It was taken 2 weeks back.

Sir: Why should I hire u?
Me: Reputed org-interest-scope of growth-employability skills.

Sir: Fine. You are selected in this round. You can proceed to the HR round.
Me: Ok. Thank you Sir.

5. HR:

Me(smiling): Good afternoon madam
Madam(smiling back): Good a.n. Please take your seat.
Me: Thank you madam.

Mam: Let us start with your project, educational details and hobbies.
Me: Yes mam (told about my ongoing project).

Mam: Ok. Next what should you tell me about?
Me: Educational details madam.

Mam: U can call me Vidya.
Me: Ok Vidya (But I couldn\'t help it and again started addressing as madam)blahblahblah...

Madam: You can go ahead with your hobbies. They are very interesting.
Me: My avocations are reading books, novels, \'The Hindu\' newspaper ,playing shuttle with my dad n bro and listening music. I go for a morning / evening walk daily.

Madam: Can you work in faraway places?
Me: Yes madam. I had spoken about this with my parents and they readily agreed.

Madam: You studied in a CBSE school. How many languages do you know?
Me: Though there are people from Northern India there, we used to converse only in English. Apart from it I know only Telugu.

Madam: Ok. What are you expecting from us?
Me: Recognition of my work, stability of my post, self satisfaction and good environment there.

Madam: But some people have other motives...
Me: Yes madam. They may think just money is enough. But we all need a happy heart, a smiling face and well maintained relations.

Madam: Can you work in night shifts?
Me: I am willing to.

Madam(filling some form): What languages do you know?
Me: C, C++, Java, UML, Sql.

Madam: Okei. Wait outside. The results will be announced shortly.
Me: Thank you madam.

Finally................Am selected.
