Placement Papers - Wipro

Hello everyone. I hardly imagined that I would be sharing my experience here with you people. Because I was an avid reader of peoples interview experience before I was selected for the reputed wipro. Something is urging me to share my unforgetable experience.

So here it goes,

There was an off campus interview in my college for Wipro technologies.

There were 4 rounds totally.

1. Aptitude.
2. Essay writing.
3. GD.
4. Final HR.

* Many people cleared the 1st round. I was a wista-maths candidate. So my aptitude questions consisted of numerical and analytical and verbal questions.

* The 2nd round was essay and I got the topic, 3 wishes. (hr questions you from the essay which you write. So make it a point to write it excellently without grammatical errors and spelling mistakes).

* The 3rd was GD and I got d topic \'Your vision about India becoming superpower in 2020\'.

Students in my GD round were fightin 2 take the initiative so that they would be selected. I was very tensed. So I waited unless they all finished and finally told my views. I didn\'t show my nervousness and spoke loudly in bold english(but my points were quite silly).

* Then came the final HR four days later.

So here is what happened.

Me : May I come in sir.

Hr : Ya ya come in. Please take your seat.
Me : Thank you sir.

Hr : How are you?
Me : I\'m actually tensed sir, This is my 1st interview.

Hr : Relax. Drink some water.
Me : No sir thank you. (everything I said with a smile).

Hr : So tell me about yourself Vidya.
Me : Told him about my college, marks, schooling, marks and names of the institutions I had studied.

Hr : So. Tell me vidya, whats the process in the development of a project. For ex, library management system.
Me : Started blabbering since I dunno. But blabbered confidently in good english.

Hr : How will you do a project?
Me : 1st I\'ll learn how to do it n then do the project.

Hr : So I have to take class for you before doing each project and then make you work is it? (wondering).
Me : No sir. Its not like that. I\'ll learn as much as I can from the training period.

Hr : See. Now your principal is coming to you and asking you 2 automate the library which is manual now. What will you do?
Me : Again started blabbering confidently.

Hr : Now for ex, you have to go to coaching. What will you do.
Me : I told something like tickets, travelling.

Hr : I\'m asking you about the process under it and not thee general one. So tell me what you\'ll do for a project.
Me : I\'ll split it into modules and join it.

Hr : So what\'s a module.
Me : Module is. Module is. Dunno sir. Since I haven\'t done a project before I dunno about it and tahts why I\'m stammering.

Hr : See for ex, you have to go to the US. What will you do?
Me : Told something like tickets, passport, visa.

Hr : So you will go to airport, take the flight, sit into it and get down. Thats the process according to you right? (astonishment).
Me : No sir. No no. Its actually like this and said sumthing(all with a smile).

Hr : Ok vidya. How will you learn things in a new place.

Me : (I was relieved now since he asked me sumthin general and left that library, project, process) I said, I\'ll first get adapted to the new place, observe a lot, reflect on my thoughts, gain from each day\'s experience.

Hr : What you learnt in these 3 years from college?
Me : Spoke about all subjects.(academics is not necessary. Anything general is fine).

Hr: (Turned my resume and read the essay. My 1st wish was to be successful) whats thee one successful task you have done in your life?
Me : I don\'t have any big success. But I have seen success in my day to day life.

Hr : Oh success in day to day life? is it sleeping bathing eating and all? is that your success?
Me : No sir not like that.

Hr : tell me one successful task. Something like, you joined with your friends and contributed for an orphanage or made an event successful.
Me : Told a story about my industrial visit in college. Claiming I held the whole responsibility for the industrial visit.

Hr : Do you have any arrears or history of arrears?
Me : no sir.

Hr : OK vidya I\'m done with you. Any questions?
Me : What does it take to become a hr?

Hr: Explained. (I listened thoughtfully nodding my head wit a smile).
Hr: Any other question.

Me : If I join wipro, What is expected from me?
Hr : Just a little bit of flexibility bla bla bla.

Hr : Any other question?
Me : No sir thats all.

Hr : OK. you may leave.
Me : Have a nice day sir.

Hr : You too have a nice day.
Me : Thanked him and left.

RESULTS came that evening and I was one among the 86 to be selected from my college out of above 200.

Got it only because of confidence and communication.
