There are 3 rounds : Aptitude [Verbal + Analytical + Technical], Technical, HR
Total candidates appeared : 240
Shortlisted after Aptitude : 184
Shortlisted after Technical : 118
Finally selected : 79
Today we\'ve had our 1st official on-campus recruitment & I\'m feeling relieved now after the declaration of the results. Just don\'t get tensed and maintain to keep a smiling face throughout the whole selection-process. Apti-round was a simple one, I really didn\'t prepare myself thoroughly for Aptitude round, just took a look at R.S. Agarwal before the day. It\'s enough.
Technical :
1). Introduce yourself.
ans: I\'m Chandrima from CSE,3rd yr. My background to date has been centered on preparing myself to become the very best performer I can become. First coming to academics -- (told semester gradepoints, H.S. marks, Madhyamik percentage etc.) ... Apart from marks and all these I\'d like to tell you one more thing about me, I\'m quite ambitious in nature ... blah-blah-blah
2). Why do you like to join Wipro ?
ans: (Honestly telling you, I didn\'t know too much about Wipro, but since I carefully listened all the points during PPT, so I mentioned some points from it)
If you take a look at my career-front, you can get that I\'ve always maintained my position among the top-fives - starting from school & even here too ... to me, intelligent people are those who don\'t let the opportunities go away from their hands and I also want to be one among them. Since Wipro falls within World\'s top five IT companies and it also got a certification from CMMi level5, so I want to work with the best
3). Preferred subjects ?
ans: C,C++,Data Structures.
4). Why haven\'t you written DBMS here ?
( what to say ? ....... I Only gave him a big smile).
5). Okay, let me ask you a few questions on DBMS...
(I got scared, still smiled)... okay Sir, you can ask.
6). Difference between Primary Key and Unique Key ?
ans:Both primary key and unique enforce uniqueness of the column on which they are defined. But by default primary key creates a clustered index on the column, where unique creates a nonclustered index by default. Another major difference is that, primary key doesn\'t allow NULLs, but unique key allows one NULL only.
7). What is Referencial Integrity ?
ans: (Exact answer didn\'t know ... but told something on Foreign Key and explained with an example).
8). Okay, now I\'m asking from your favourite fields ... Difference between C and C++
ans: (Got a scope to give lecture ...) C is procedural language, emphasis is given on functions rather than on data, C++ is object-oriented language, emphasis is given on data, data-hiding options .. by declaring data-members as private, but objects of different classes can communicate among themselves through member-functions.. which are declared as public........... etc.etc.
9). What are features of OOP ?
ans: Abstraction, Encapsulation, Inheritance, Polymorphism.
10). Virtual function ?
ans: (couldn\'t tell the definition but explained with a program).
11). What is structure ?
ans: user-defined data-type, can take diff. types of variables declared within it ... etc. Again wrote the declaration-format.
12). Diff. b/w structure and table ?
ans: (God! Again DBMS!) told only what\'s table and what\'s structure ...
Smiled and gave the HR-form, shook hand with me ....
HR :
Didn\'t get a scope to tell about myself much, even couldn\'t show all my certificates of merits ... since Ma\'m was in a hurry.
1). Family background ? (also mentioned that my mother is my ideal woman & I want to follow her)
2). Why is she your ideal woman ?
(told reasons)
3). Apart from household family members, tell me about one woman you appreciate ?
(thought about Sushmita Sen, but didn\'t mention it ... also thought about Indira Gandhi, but there\'s not sufficient information about her in my store) ... ultimately told Mother Teresa.
4). Reason
(told nobel profession, charity etc.etc.... but this question was the only one I couldn\'t answer well)
Didn\'t ask me any question, only told "you may go n Didn\'t keep us waiting for long, declared results within a very short period of time. Got happy to know that my name was third in our list.

Well frds recently i got recruited at Wipro. First of all let me tell u tat am not one of those book worms...
Some of the things the recruiters look for are
1.Knowledge abt ur prefered subject
2.Communication skills
3.ur attitude and personality
4.Confidence,Calmness and Conviction
5.background
Well at first we had our aptitude test it wasn\'t as easy as people assume it to be...The Technical part was really very tough and the rest were a mixture of both tough and easy questions...sumone who has gone thru 5-6 apti papers will not find it diff at all...but wat i feel is tat u can\'t expect apti papers to be of a certain type...so its better tat u practice some analytical questions and the rest is all abt how u perform over there...how ur brain functions and how quick u r to grasp the comprehension and logical reasonings...
I got thru the apti pretty comfortable since there was no negative marking i left very few q...out of 15+15+20 i did 12+12+16...out of tat 80% of the answers i made sure were correct...
TECHNICAL
the questions asked where

3.wat is a heap sort...explain with ex
4.wat is DS
5.wat is OS
6.schedulers
7.context switch,dispatcher,pcb
8.all kinds of algo
9.explain in details all the algos with example
10.address binding
11.sum stuff from micro(i don\'t rem the q)
12.wat is ORACLE
13.strong points of C
14.WAP and explain fibonacci series,palindrome and sum of two nos
15.wat is dbms and the keys
Now the answers which I gave were not perfect...but watever I said I did it with conviction and confidence...was very relaxed as if I was njoying my stay there even cracked a few jokes abt my knowledge in microprocessor and abt my acting skills...
HR INTERVIEW
oh it was damn easy.

3.some questions frelating to the form filled up by me...
it was a cake walk....
DON\'T GET NERVOUS PREPARE YRSELF WELL AND BE CONFIDENT...TEN THE JOB IS ALL URS..

This is my xperience bout WIPRO..da 1st one to come for our campus interview and i got placed. so thought of sharing my xperiences wit u fellas..
I m Anargha Biswas from ECE.B.P. Poddar inst.of management and technology well, da PPt was supposed to start at 8.30a.m..but dey managed to end da ppt at around 10.45.a pretty borin one. aptitude started at about 11.15.. u guys know da marks distribution.
15 qns on Verbal.
15 qns on Analytical and
20 Technical..
there was a comprehension followed by4 qns..
3 similarity problems.
problems on \'correct sentence\', \'find da gramatical mistakes.\' and few other things i don remembr..
Analytical part..
there were problems.easy enough.just go thru R.S agarwal
a probability prob. problems were there on coding and decoding..but dey were all wrong.a problem was there on projectile motion.it was tough..at least i felt so.. and then go thru da problems on simple algebra..there were quite a few of them..
Technical..
there were several problems on\'find da output\'.but they were easy enough. then father of pentium..Ans.vinod Dham some probs on C++ like inline fns, advantage of inheritence of class.etc,etc..
one prob.--transform from prefix to infix..
just take care dat u dont run short of time..
out of about 315students 184 cleared da test.
my TECHNICAL INTRVW..
i was in panel no.2.unlike da others there were 2 persons in my panel..each taking interview seperately..
my turn came at around 5p.m..
i entered and wished \'good afternoon\'
sir:plz take ur seated.
me:thank u sir.
sir:introduce urself..and thus it started in da most general way..he asked me a few qns like why shud we hire u?and what do u xpect from Wipro. my strengths and my weaknesses.then he asked me bout my BSNL training..i xplained him da few things i had learnt from there..and a few other qns..i cud say he wasnt very satisfied ..nyway he asked me to face da next barrier..da other one seatin in da same room.
that fellow was very friendly.he asked me diff betn.automatic and static storage class..
then asked me xplain da workin of double linked list..da way it is traversed..nxt binary tree.he asked me to draw da flow chart of a=b+c..it was pretty easy.and only 1 qn from 8085 microprocessor.they were friendly enough..just be in ur own self..and frankly admit when u dont know something..
sir:o.k..take this HR form and get it filled..u hav successfully cleared ur technical intrvw..
of da 184 candidates 110 cleared da technical..
MY HR
I entered da hr panel at around 8.30p.m.da person sittin over there welcomed me and asked me to take my seat..he qned me about my family background..then about myself ..and my interests.i had mentioned about rock climbing..he asked me what i had learnt there..and where do i find rocks in kolkata..these qns were in my domain and i was pretty confident..it continued for some 15 mins..
ultimately da results were declared and i was among da 79 students who got thru..thanx GOD dat i made it in da 1st attempt..
