Hi Friends
The aptitude test started around 11am.It had three sections.
Section 1-- English
There was a passage given and we had to answer few questions(four, to be exact) related to the passage. The questions were basically a conclusion to the passage
The we had some questions on vocab. and analogy. The English part was quite simple and the cut-off could have been easily cleared.
Section 2-- Aptitude
There were lot of questions on quanitative aptitude and some verbal ability. Quantitative included problems on time and work, Ratio:Proportion and and some common logic questions.I had not solved the previous examination papers of Wipro, but my friends\' said that there were many questions that were repeated..So go through all the papers that you get on the net.
It was also an easy section to pass..
Section 3-- Technical
This was the only section that was tough..And let me tell you.It was really tough. Not that the questions were tough. But the answers were very tricky. All the options were very close to each other.

This is Ron. Last day (25th Feb 2007) Wipro came to our college for campus recruitment. I am contributing my experience ...
The whole selection procedure was of 3 parts...
1 Written test
2 Technical interview
3 HR interview
1) The written test:- There was 3 parts in it..a) verbal b) analytical (pure apti) and
c) The technical..........
I warn every non CSE or IT students about the technical part...even as the verbal and apti are both cakewalk...the technical part had got questions from C++, OS, CO, etc......so be prepared
2) Technical Interview:
After passing the written test i was much more nervous but kept my cool. the conversation is given below...(there was 8 panels taking interviews, me was in panel 6)
me good afternoon sir.....
sir good afternoon to u too...pls have the seat....
me thank u , sir.....
sir okay.....can i see ur icse and isc marksheets pls.....
me sure, sir.....( i gave him my marksheets....he read them carefully for more than a minute, and i also handed my cv to him.........)
sir ohh, u r a ECE student.....(turning over to the next page of my cv, he jst saw the prefered subjects heading and saw there.."C++")
"u know C++....."
me yes sir, but i did not study in an institution.....it was just self study.......
sir which book did u follow..
me herbert schildt.
sir very good then...i\'ll ask u frm C++ only........
me no problem sir....
In the next 20 mins he asked me everything from C++...from the concept of OOPS to file handling, i answered evry question.........
sir okay..how much do u know C....?
me as much as taught in college.......(smiled a bit)
sir okay.. lets see........what is a macro....
Again there was 5 questions from macros, preproccesor directives and all those things... I answered confidently...
After that...he just took out a writing board and started writing on it and in the meanwhilehe gave me 2 mathematical riders...after i solved it......he said okay mr it was very nice talking to u..take this HR form and fill it up quickly and go to the HR panel quickly...THE END...
3) the HR interview was a walk in the park.....the rejection rate is low. They just test ur smartness and how do u speak..etc..no probs....but one thing......razor sharp answers with a smile makes a real difference. My hr interview was finished by 4 pm.....i had to wait till 8:15 to get the results.....I GOT IT...

3) Technical aptitude
it was bit tough to me,, becoz i only know C and C++, there were some qs from UNIX, Java, OS etc.. so beware....
127 students cleared d apti exam,,, i was 1 of them....
Now in technical interview,, i was grilled by a person for 35 minutes,,, questions were from microprocessor, and c++,, i did well in that.. sir gave me hr from with a big smile....
In HR interview,,, mam 1st asked me to tell something abt myself,,
Me: I am soumya, all my academic things r given in my cv, and i\'m not going to tell it again, apart from my academic stuffs i\'m very energetic and friendly person, i luv to play cricket, i\'m Mr dependable in my "para" cricket team, (smile), i love to watch movies, i love to read story books, even i love to fly kytes (smile)
As a person, i\'m very much self-motivated,, self starter type....luck is just an illusion to me, i dont know luck is with me there or not, but i am here , i have to get moving..and i am a firm believer of that fact" survival of the fittest", i wanna be fittest, to be mentally fit, i do meditation every day, and to be physically fit i am a regular gym goer.. i hv a mentor in my life, named Swami Vivekananda...
Mam: a quote from ur mentor?
Me: u cant believe in god if u dont believe in urself....
Mam: y luck is an illusion?
Me: every body thinks all life is a game of luck,, but to my mind,,,real man makes his own luck,,
i believe in myself, i run, i play, i get hurt, i wake up, again i run,,,, this \'i factor\' plays in me ....luck is really an illusion...
(mam was pleased,, now she gave a wide smile)
mam: now im giving u a puzzle,, solve it...( i knew dat puzzle and solved it...)
mam gave another which i could not solve...
Mam : no prob ,,, Soumya u can go now....
The list was announced,, and my name was there. 44 of us got through... 16 from ECE rocks.. yup i did it... best of luck

I am Sohini. I would like to share my experience of campus selection procedure of WIPRO.
The total procedure consists of 4 parts. Given as-
1. PPT
2. Written Test
3. Technical Interview
4. HR Interview
PPT
This part was little bit boring. But in order to give the HR it seemed very helpful to me. Kindly follow what features they are providing to you because they will ask questions from it.
Written-
It consist of portions which I hope u all know. The 1st part (English) was easy. Just a passage some vocabulary and a little bit of grammer. Here in this site I have found people telling about some hard books like GRE Barrons. But if u don\'t have this books don\'t worry u can easily crack it with few basic knowledge. The aptitude portion was very easy. In this portion I got a lot many qs common, as I have solved papers from this site. The Technical portion was really tough for those who don\'t belong to cse/IT dept. But try to do the portion which u know very confidently. That\'s it u can crack.
Technical Interview---
The interview was pretty good; it consists of questions from core electronics (as I am from ECE), and at the same time from C&Data Structure, especially pointers & linked list. Then there were qs from my HR project also, Then some qs regarding my family & extra curricular activities & achievements.
HR Interview----
It is given as: -
Me-Good Evening Mam.
Mam-Yes Good evening, but it\'s a long-term process.
Me-Yes mam I know. Thank u for taking our interview.
Mam-So, one of ur hobbies is traveling, Name some places where u have been.
Me-Very recently we went to Gangtok, I have been to Simla, Darjeeling, Gujrat, Puri it\'s a very common place.
Mam-So which is the way u have chosen for those trips.
Me-Actually mam my father is in SERailway so we generally board train as we have the pass i.e. free tickets(Started laughing).
Mam-(also started laughing) Why ECE? As there were seats available only in this stream?
Me-No mam,In our HS physics we have just the introduction of electronics, I feel the subject to be very interesting & want to know more that\'s why I have chosen ECE. When I took entry in this college there were seats available in all streams.
Mam-Ok, U have written (looking at my HR form) ur weakness is that ur personal life get hampered bcz of ur professional life, how?explain.
Me-Actually mam I get so much involved in projects that my relatives sometime calls me unsocial, sometimes my mom scolds me only for this reason.
Mam-Ok, but why WIPRO?
ME-(First told some data regarding WIPRO which I have collected from net then added) My objective in life is to acquire knowledge & I have heard that WIPRO is providing the best training That\'s why I would like to join WIPRO.
Mam-Tell me in a single word why I should take u? Remember only a single word.
Me-Trustworthy.
Mam-Prove it.
Me-The whole class has chosen me the CR.
Mam-CR?You mean class representative.
Me-Yes mam.
Mam-Ok,good,thank U,
Me-Thank u(then left the room)
Believe me friends it\'s very easy to crack just have to have ur confidence. I finally got selected at around 8:20 pm. Best of luck to all who wants to join WIPRO.
