Hello Friends
I am very happy to say that I got placed in Wipro in the written test held in Hyderabad on 3rd August and subsequently the technical HR interview on the same day.
Out of 243 students, 152 were shortlisted to technical interview then 80 made upto hr and finally 66 students got placed.
The written test was not so easy. 11a.m to 12 noon
1. Verbal all from GRE Barrons:
Sentence corrections, jumbled statements, fill in the blank, anologies, etc. One para was given with 5 questions. It is easy, but u need to be fast.
2. Analytical a bit tough.
I dont remember exactly .Questions were like this:
1) There are 6 varieties of birds. You need to buy 11 feathers,of three varieties of birds such that one or three feathers of same variety. No. of possibilities are:
2) One camel need to carry 45 bananas. Its capacity is 15 bananas at a time. Distance between two cities is 15miles. It eats one banana for every mile. So, max no. of bananas which it can deliver are:
3) A no. when divided by 4,7 leaves ... remainder and when divided by 3,8 leaves .. remainder. but when divided by 5 it is divisible. No. is:
4) A problem relating to weight lifter. His weight, height are given.
5) Payment to a clerk. Rs1200 for 2 weeks,works 7 hrs daily. By mistake he takes 30min lunch as working hour. what is the net amount given to him?
6) 8 balls of different colors. 2 are taken out. . Find probability to get a blue ball and red ball such that when a ball it taken out it is again placed in the bag.
7) Question related to number.
8) cubes problem.
9) one para and conclusion was asked.
3. Technical is very tough.
only 2 from C,one from C++, two from ds, other were from O/s, unix, linux,database etc.,
Shortlisted at 1:30 p.m , Technical interviews started at 2p.m. next Tech round. Here were about 10 to 12 panels, for mca, civil,ece separate panels were there. 5 batches were made about 30 students per each batch.
I was in second batch.Time was 2:45pm
From first batch only few students went to next round. actually wiproites are good and jovial.
He asked me about my branch, fav subjects and asked questiopns on them. Then he asked me some questions from C, C++, java. Practical application of C, C++. Compare all three. How to compile a java program. Types of functions. about pointers,use and demerits. About SDLC. then he asked me about my hobbies, native place and address, family, etc., Why wipro? Why do u want to enter software industry? about college, etc., it was for about 20 min.
HR questions: Time 4pm

Did you get selected into any of the two companies which visited your campus before Wipro? If no reason.
why wipro?
what do u expect from Wipro?
What are the qualities of a good leader?
what are the requirements to become a good software engineer?
It lasted for about 5 to 10 min.Chet anaS
