Hello friends,
This is Bismay Ranjan Swain from Bhubaneswar, pursuing my MBA in Finance at BIITM. I'm a 2nd year student. In 14th September, UPS visited our campus. We have 12 colleges to be interviewed by Process.
So the whole program was of 1 day. 14th September, All day was allotted for interview. Our Aptitude and Exrempo was held in 10.30 am to 5 pm.
EVENT- APTITUDE:
This year's Aptitude questions was very tough. But if you practice from IndiaBix you will get 80% questions common. This year there were 18-20 questions from the site. Here I want to share my experience.
Date- 14/11/2015.
Event- EXTEMPO.
My Experience:
I was given 2 minutes with a topic. They have given us very easy and common topics. They just looked for your confidence and communication skills.
EVENT- INTERVIEW:
Technical and HR both. After entering the premises at 9.45 pm. So, here is my experience. For the conversion in interview M=me, I=Interviewer.
M: Good evening, Sir. (there was 2 interviewers, I used Sir, not Sirs).
I: Good evening, Ranjan, please have a seat.
M: Thank you sir.
I: Ranjan, introduce yourself.
M: Told (I've used this format- Name, institute, stream, native place, school, family, hobbies, strength).
I: Okay, let me see your CV. You seem a good student, tell me what are your strong points? What should I ask?
M: (As I've mentioned in CV Finance, I told him) Sir, I'm good. Normal conversation about study.
1. What is finance?
2. Why UPS?
3. Why not Banking?
4. What is Supply chain management?
5. Logistic?
6. Golden rule of accounting.
7. Ratios.
8. AR And AP.
9. Why should I hire you?
10. How z your Typing speed, how could you prove that?
11. Who z our competitors?
12. Assets vs Liabilities.
I: If we transfer you to Pune, is there any problem?
M: No, sir.
I: Which skills you need to improve before joining to UPS you think?
M: Communication and Typing.
I: (they asked some personal questions about my family) Do you have any questions for us?
M: No, sir.
(then they extended their hand for handshake. I was not expecting this. I handshake. It is not mandatory to do it by yourself. But if you do, do it properly. Not with too stiff hand or lazy hand).
I: We are done with you, you may go.
M: Thank you, sir.
(The whole process took 20-30 min).
RESULT:
11.15 at 11.30 pm I got the list of selected students and my name was on the list.
