Hello guys,
I am Piyush Nikhade, from YCCE, pursuing Electrical engineering. I was called for Tech Mahindra selection process. We were called for the pre-placement talk about the company at 8:00 a.m. Pay attention to the presentation and note down the points which you feel are important. They tell key points about company\'s profile.
ROUND-1 : Online Test ; 75 Ques ; TIME: 50
Format of aptitude test:-
English General 1 : Basic Grammar Checking (10 marks).
English General 2 : Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence framing, etc (20 marks).
Prose Comprehension : Questions asked from the given paragraph (5 marks).
Quantitative Aptitude:-
Try to focus on basic concepts of allegation and mixture, problems on ages and numbers, profit loss, CI &PI. Questions were of easy level. (11 marks)
Verbal Ability:-
Circular/Linear seating arrangements, Analogy, Direction, Clocks, Calendar, blood relations, syllogisms. (21 marks).
Verbal paragraph:-
It may be a puzzle in the form of a paragraph. Some of my friends also got blood relations as a question. (3 marks).
Non-Verbal Figures:-
Figure Sequence, Odd man out in figure pattern (5 marks).
Keep in mind that there will be both Sectional and Overall Cut-off. So you have to perform well in all sections. The best part is that test has no negative marking.Once you clear the first round, you are supposed to write a story on the given random picture.
ROUND-2 : Story Writing; 200 words; 15 Mins
This section is the most crucial part of your aptitude. In my case there was a pic in which number of books were placed on a table. So short story has to be written. Some of my friends also got quotes. I enjoyed writing this section because it shows creativity. Many people were eliminated in this round.
ROUND-3 : Technical Interview.
The panelist was very easy going person. He was very cheerful. He asked about me, my family background. Being a Non-CSE/IT student, I was only asked about project. Some basic questions about C were also asked. If you clear this round you are 95% in.
ROUND-4 : General HR Interview.
At our time, two HR rounds were held. This was simply a casual conversation which lasted for about 15 mins. Here Communication ability and flexibility of the candidate was checked and HR asked me whether I know anything about TechM and I answered. Again they will ask u about relocation or working in night shifts. This round is just a cakewalk guys, just feel confident.
Let me tell you friends, I was rejected in Capgemini, TCS, but I finally made in Tech Mahindra. So all the best.
