Tech Mahindra Interview Experince - Durgapur, 22-06-2016

Hie, I am Ibtisam Mandal(BCA), student from Bengal college of engineering and technology, Durgapur and I wanted to share my experience about the placement in Tech Mahindra that held in 22-july, at Durgapur BC Roy college.

First a ppt was presented in front of us, that was all about the company and about the test pattern.

First Round - Online test round(50 min).

Consisting of aptitude, logical reasoning and verbal ability. Questions were at good level. If you are preparing from RS Aggarwal and IndiaBix then it's more than enough. Just Understand the concepts. Just go through as many different type of questions as you can. Questions were not that hard but at level, need some practice.

The result was on spot with a pop-up box "Thank-you" (not selected) or in my case "congratulations".

After first round there was a 10 min break, now- Second Round - online essay writing.

A picture was presented in the desktop of students like a sad girl, sick earth well in my case it was a group of scholars. You will be given only 10 mins and you have to type a story depending upon that picture. Story must contain a title, a body and an ending. You have to be very fast, because you are going to think and to create a story and to type a story only on those given 10 mins.

Care-full about the spelling mistakes, and you have to create a story not to describe what you are seeing in that picture.

Third round - Technical Interview.

Firstly he asked "tell me something about yourself" I replied, just be aware about the hobbies you are going to say if it's related to sports or stuffs from internet cause he might ask some questions from that to assure if you are actually interested or not. Then as the name says the interview was based on languages C, C++, JAVA and Database. Most of the questions are from database. They also asked about general awareness, I was asked about "Pokemon go", and asked me to write a code (very simple).

Lastly he asked me one logical question which I couldn't able to give the answer (but now I know) question was "9 balls with same weight but one of them is slightly heavier than others and you are provided with a weighing scale and only 2 chances are given how can you separate the slightly heavier ball from rest of the balls". I am not giving the answer cause you might come out with a solution. But a hint might be good "just divide the 9 balls in 3 equal group and think".

Fourth Round - HR Interview(Last one).

Just common questions, kind of friendly interview questions were from personal live nothing technical.

After 15 minutes. Results out.

And I was selected(smiling).

My suggestion - a bit practice in aptitude having a good knowledge about languages and about your field (the course you are doing), good communication skill and confidence And you are in.

Thank you, hope you find this useful.
