Hi everyone, I am PUSHPLATA RAI and recently I have attended the Tech Mahindra campus drive which was held on 26-07-2016 in Malla Reddy College in Hyderabad. It was my first drive which I have attended and got selected. It was a great experience. The pattern of the exam was like, it consists of 4 rounds.

1) Aptitude Round.
2) Essay Writing Round.
3) Technical Round.
4) HR round.

Aptitude round was consists of 75 question and the timing was given us 50 minutes. The question was very simple and easy to crack. In this total 7 section  were there like quants, verbal, passage, logical, non-verbal reasoning, etc. Each section has their individual cut toff, so there we need to be very careful. The topics from the most of the  questions were asked in quants were the percentage, profit and loss, average, speed and distance, number system, clocks, compound interest and simple interest, etc. for the preparation of quants R.S. Aggarwal  book and IndiaBix is more than enough. Verbal part consists of topics were articles, preposition, synonyms, antonyms, verbal analogy, etc. If you have good knowledge of basic English and grammar rules then you can easily crack this section. For logical and reasoning part the topics were asked was blood relations, data arrangements, number series, coding and decoding, analogies, etc. to crack this section IndiaBix is more than enough.

After completion of the first round, there was essay writing round. In this round, a picture will be displayed on the screen and you will be given 15 minutes to write an essay on that. The thing on which you need to concentrate is how you frame your sentences and there should not be any grammatical and spelling mistakes. And the most important thing they will see punctuations marks. So be careful with that.

The next here come is Technical round. My technical round was about for 20 minutes. The question he asked me was very basic as I belong to ECE branch he didn't ask me many technical questions. Mostly he asked questions on my strength and weaknesses and asked me to justify them. Whatever I have mentioned in my resume he had to ask the question on those points and very basic question of C language.

The important point is to note that your resume should be very perfect and there should not be any loopholes in that. Your resume is the only thing which will create the impression on the interviewer. Your resume is the question paper on which the  interviewer will ask you maximum questions. You should be very honest with your resume because you will be asked question on that. Whatever you mentioned in your resume it should be genuine and you are supposed to ready to justify them.

Maximum, they will check your ability, talent and your confidence level. Sometime, the interviewer will pressurize you to check whether you are able to handle pressure or not and can you able to work in such situation. So while interview just be calm, focus and confident.

The last round was HR ROUND in this round maximum they will check your communication skills. For me personally, it was a chit chat round. The HR was very cool and jovial to me. He talked very politely and asked the basic question about myself and family, whether I am ready to relocate or not, my hobbies and interest, etc.

Some  tips for cracking the placements is to be confident, practise practise and practise is very important go through all the questions which are on IndiaBix site, practise the previous question paper and read all the HR interview questions which is available at this site maximum those question only will asked and refer R.S Aggarwal book practice all the topics which are in that, prepare a very decent and honest resume, never loose hope if you are not get selected, try hard and work hard until you reach your goal.
