Hi All, I attended Tech Mahindra drive on 12 march. It was a referral drive. Profile was : Associate software engineer.
There were 4 rounds :
1. Online aptitude test.
2. Online essay writing.
3. Technical interview.
4. HR interview.
1. Online aptitude test: There were 130 Questions and time was 80 minutes. There were 7 sections in total.
# English 1 (25).
# English 2 (35).
# Paragraph (10).
# Aptitude (15).
# Logical reasoning (35).
# Diagram puzzle (5).
# Puzzle (5).
All sections were easy. English 1 had questions related to synonyms, antonyms close word etc. English 2 had questions related to articles, prepositions etc. Paragraph was easy total 3 paragraph were there. Aptitude was also easy questions were from profit/loss, partnership, lcm/hcl, ages SI/CI, etc. Logical reasoning had question on blood relation, direction, series, analogies, height puzzle, car puzzle etc. Diagram puzzle were simple puzzle of finding next diagram of sequence or finding odd diagram from series of diagram. And last puzzle was a paragraph on blood relation and questions were asked from that puzzle.
Guys, to clear this round, you need to attempt all question because there is no negative marking. Whether you know or not just attempt all question. Don\'t spend much time on any question or section because there is sectional cutoff also.
Once your time is over, result will be displayed. If you don\'t clear this round, you will receive sorry message else, congrats.
After that you need to fill some details then you can proceed for next round. In 10 minutes, you need to write essay in 150-200 words or 1200 characters at max. Topic are very general and easy. But you need to write related to topic and grammatically correct. Also remember, if you write only 5-6 lines you will be selected if your content is related to topics and grammatically correct and you might be eliminated if your content if full of errors though you write lengthy essay.
Once you submitted your essay, you will be required to wait for some time 20-30 Min. After that result will be declared whether you passed or failed essay writing.
After that there was technical interview, there were 5 panels and your interview can be in any panel.
Questions were asked from project, basic C program, why you want to join it as I am ECE student. They basically check your confidence and your pressure handling capacity.
After that, one of their coordinator will tell your result.
If selected, you will be required to staple your documents copy, id copy etc and submit that to coordinator. They will send that to HR.
HR round was easy and questions like introduce yourself, your hobbies, current affairs etc were asked. Result was not declared. They told that they would send mail about result.
Guys, all rounds were elimination round. But online aptitude round was mass elimination round. Out of 450 (approx. ) Only about 80 clear first round. And 70 cleared essay round and around 55 appeared for HR round. So, if you clear first round, there is 80% chances of getting selected.
