Hi friends, I attended the drive of Tech Mahindra @our college on 9th May. It was a one day process and had 4 rounds:
1. Aptitude Exam.
2. Essay writing (not an elimination round).
3. Tech Interview.
4. HR.
The Aptitude exam was the biggest elimination round. In our college 155 students appeared and 53 cleared the 1st round.
It had 170 questions and time limit was only 80 minutes. Don\'t get afraid! If you keep yourself calm and solve it. You might finish it before time :-).
The questions were very easy. It had 11 sections like.
Quants, LR, Analogy, Article, Preposition, Passage reading, Synonym, some idioms, subject verb agreement, tense etc.
Practice coding decoding, arrangement puzzles, Syllogism, Blood relations, series for LR section (it had the maximum number of questions-35) and simple maths like time and work, simple interest, profit loss, partnership, ratio etc for quant (it had only 15 questions).
R. S. Agarwal is more than enough for Tech mahindra.
In the essay writing section topics were very easy. Just write a brief one and also try to maintain a good handwriting.
For Tech Interview if you are from IT/CSE dept prepare JAVA (it\'s a must for TM Tech Interview) and DBMS, Networking, Software Engineering, C.
The questions were very basic. I was asked questions like.
1. Difference between C and JAVA.
2. Polymorphism, Abstract class,
3. Can we reuse code in C? How? How is it different from JAVA.
4. Primary key, foreign key,
5. Difference between HTTP and HTTPs., about SSL etc.
Some of my friends were asked to write a code in C/JAVA. Such as write a java code to print your name in reverse order, Bubble sort, etc.
And in the HR round.
1. Tell me something about yourself which is not written in your CV.
2. How many friends do you have. Gave situation with friends and also situation based on corporate world.
3. Will your mom allow you to join TM in another city. How will she manage.
4. Why don\'t you find a Govt job, Then you can seat back and relax. Here you may face a lot of pressure of work.
5. Future career goal etc.
Just maintain a sweet smile and be confident it\'s very easy and they are very polite.
Ultimately 38 got selected and I was one of them. It was a great moment.
Be confident guys. If you believe in yourself no one can stop you from getting a job.
Don\'t get frustrated if you are rejected. I was also rejected several times before this company but God always saves the best for you. Here my boy-friend, Best friend and I got selected in the same company ^_^ So keep practicing, wait for your day and give your best shot.
Thank you. Best of luck :-).
