Some linked questions in non-verbal ability were time consuming.

If you are really good at aptitude and English, I can assure you that you can finish the 170Q within 50 min. !

Out of 245 who attempted the written test, 47 were shortlisted.

After that, they have given a paper and some application formalities and in parallel they asked us to write an essay.

Be careful, they ask questions about essay that you have written in further rounds to come. Kindly write it legibly and make sure that your sentences are devoid of spelling and grammatical errors.

The essay topic for us was, "Is Global Warming Dangerous-your views".

2nd Round: Technical Round.

Actually, it didn't start well because, my appearance was not that good. I had a slight beard which gave him the chance to yell at me.

The first 10min were hell. Then I knew, I had to switch the gears. So slowly I diverted his mind from my appearance to my attitude.

The TR lasted about 40 min.

I was from ECE background, surprisingly, I was not asked even a single question from programming.

This is how my TR took place:

HR: Your appearance is not upto the mark, I am disappointed.
Me: Sorry sir, I would not repeat this again.

HR: You have put a declaration column in your resume and you have not signed. Don't you have that sense?
Me: Sorry sir, I didn't know that was mandatory. I assure you that I would sign it next time.

HR: Be careful while attending the interviews, your appearance matters. So Briefly tell me about yourself.
Me:Told confidently about me, my family background and my attitude.

HR:Your hobbies?
Me: Watching and Playing cricket. Interrupted by HR!

HR: What is your role in your team?
Me: I am a specialist Wicket-keeper Batsman of my college team.

HR: Describe briefly about your project?
Me: explained fluently.

HR: You have very good academics, so what are your other interests?
Me: (I had to take a dare step here, to show him that I am into other things like social work, digital volunteer etc. ). Sir, kindly look at the second page of my Resume.

HR: (laughed) (asked about a situation where I am the team lead and what I would do, if a person leaves a project in the middle).

Me: I have given some explanation that I would divide the undone work by him t myself and my team members and work extra hours to meet the deadline.

HR: (exclaimed and put away his pen and file and pointed his finger at me) That's the right answer, very good. Keep it up boy!
Me: thank you sir.  (I know that this was the turning point of my interview and it boosted my confidence that I would get selected).

HR: (asked the details about my Internship and some other HR questions).
Me: answered every situation confidently.

HR: (asked each and very technical details about my projects and also about MATLAB) -- (I have mentioned that I have done 2 projects on my own using MATLAB).
Me: Explained clearly.

HR:I know that you lack C++ and JAVA knowledge, but I can train you afterwards.
Me:Thank you sir.

HR:Do you have any questions for me?
Me: Asked if I could get projects in my Telecom sector after joining the company.

HR: Told that he was impressed by my technical profile and also told that my WIMAX project is similar to a project executed by him at his company. Suggested me to improve my appearance.

After 10 min, the main HR lead called me to HR round, I was assured that I would get the job with P=0. 9.

Round 3: HR Round.

Okay dear, you have got good ratings in technical but poor ratings in terms of appearance. Leave it a side.

Q1: Explain your strengths and weaknesses?
Me: Told.

Q2: Do you have any plans for higher studies, because you have scintillating profile and 3 projects.

Me: I have done good research projects under amiable guidance of my professors and now I feel its the right time for me to enter the corporate world and work for a good company. I have no plans for higher studies.

Q3: Do you have any location constraints?
Me: No!

HR: All the best young man!

After 3 hours results have been announced. 28 got selected finally out of 47 in the TR+HR.

Obviously, I am among selected. No offense please!

So it is basically about time management and confidence.

All the best aspirants, hope this would be helpful for your upcoming interviews.
