Hey friends, I have attended for the pool campus drive of Tech Mahindra at MRCET on 27th and 30th December 2013. They were one of the best days in my life! Well I am going to share my experience and what all happened in those two days and I am posting this because the interview experiences in have helped me a lot. Hope you will find it useful :).

On 27th Dec 2013, We were called for the aptitude test and they divided the total students into 4 slots and they gave us the timings for each slot and I was in the 3rd slot and the online aptitude test started at 1:30 pm. The question paper consisted of 170 questions mostly consisting of verbal ability and 15 arithmetic ability and the time frame was 80 min.

After the completion of exam, the results were announced and they selected around 71 people from our slot and I don't know how many people got selected from the other slots and I was one among them. After the aptitude test they asked us to fill some application forms based on their norms and we had to write a paragraph on a topic. The topic that I got was "How much role do you think luck has played in your life'' and I wrote around 14-15 lines on it. Later we were asked to return on 30th Dec 2013 at sharp 8 am.

On 30th dec 2013, We reached the college at 8 am and started to wait for our slot and finally at around 10 we were called and asked to submit all our documents, mean while the technical round was going on for the slot 1 and 2 people. I was getting tensed about my technical round and my name was called at around 11. They were different technical HR's interviewing in different panels.

I went in and sat in front of the interviewer and he started asking me questions. The technical round for me lasted for around 10-15 minutes and questions were asked about my study project and the paragraph which I wrote on 27th that's it. So the main quality required to clear the technical round is good communication skills, very good eye contact, confidence and some technical knowledge.

As I am Electrical background fortunately he did not ask me anything about C and all. The real patience testing came now after the technical round. I had to wait for around 6 hours for the result for my result and finally my name came for the HR round at 5 pm. The major filtration took place in aptitude and technical round. Once you are through these rounds your are almost in. I went for the HR round and it was for just around 2 minutes. The HR asked me where was I from? My strengths and weaknesses? How would I see myself 5 years from now? and finally Are there any living restrictions for you? The HR is testing our attitude and if we are going to stay in the company for long time.

There was not much elimination in the HR round and we were asked to wait in the conference room for the results. At around 7:30 pm the officials came and announced our results and they selected 116 students from 1460 students (approximately) and I was one among them! :).

What I observed was the major elimination rounds are aptitude and technical. So be strong and confident and be thorough with your study and main project. Winding up, the experiences of people which were posted in helped me a lot. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and a big thanks to Hoping that my experience will help you in your future Interviews. All the best and Thank you :).
