Tech Mahindra Interview Experience - Hyderabad, December 13, 2013
The first round is an online written test. There are total 170 que (100 from basic English grammar and 70 from quant, verbal and nonverbal) we need to get at-least morethan 60% in each (100 and 70 que). The total time allotted is 80 min. So we need to manage the time. There is no negative marks. I suggest to get prepare in articles and prepositions first there will be 20 or 25 que. Next tenses, confusable words- (20) , synonyms, antonyms and some basic grammar. Coming to aptitude there will be 30 que I think, we need to prepare some mandatory topics like LCM and Hcf, Problem on ages, time and work, trains problem, si and ci, calender, clocks, partnership, permutation and combination, probability, races. Definitely 1 or 2 problems will come from each of this topics. There will be verbal and nonverbal reasoning also.
A Small TIP to save time in solving arithmetic aptitude is solve the problem only if you have practiced or knows the same model problem. Otherwise just throw a stone on the option and go for next que. Because aptitude consume more time if we get stick to a single que.
They have shortlisted around 57 members from 500 member after first round.
I Succeeded in clearing the written test.
Next round is technical round. But before that round they distributed the white papers and asked us to write our views about Examination is the right way to judge ones talent? This is because they are asking to explain that view in hr round. But maintain neatness in paper. Two paragraphs is enough. Time is 10 min.
I went to technical round first he asked about myself, he asked me to tell something about me other than what I mentioned in my resume. I said my strengths, achievements, participation in college fests. Scholarship sanctioned (merit).
He asked about c and java basic topics and differences. Some programs. About my academic project etc. Just maintain Eye contact and be confident while answering and you are voice must be somewhat bit louder.
I went for Hr round. First he asked how was my technical round I said it was fine. He asked.
Why techmahendra? what are my strengths and weakness? what are my capabilities to join in techmahendra? He asked about view on essay that I have written before technical round?asked about any rellocation problem? All is meant to check how fluently and confidently we are answering him.
Finally they have selected 12 member and I'm the one among them.
