TECH MAHINDRA PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 28 FEB 2008
This is Animesh from 3rd year CSE of GCETTB here to share my experience of being selected in Tech Mahindra. Well thanks 2 every one who had shared their experiences regarding Tech Mahindra.. Well my experience was a bit stressful in the sense that ours was a very tough selection procedure in comparison to all the procedures that I had learnt from different areas ..Well it was a pool type recruitment drive consisting of only the CS & it branches being included..
General information about the selection procedure:
Cleared aptitude: 13
Cleared technical: 04
Cleared HR: 03
Well 3 stages comprised of the selection lasting for 2 days- 1st day for aptitude and 2nd day for tech & HR interview..
Ours aptitude test had really taken a nice toll of our brains. It consisted of 2 sections:
Quantitative and Reasoning part: Quantitative part consisted of questions on profit & loss, interest (simple & compound), time & distance, numbers, etc..
English section: It consisted of questions on grammar, antonym & synonym, fill in the blanks, Inferring from the paragraph, and all that on general English..
1st section consisted of 70 questions and the 2nd consisted of 30 questions each having 1 marks. The qualifying score was 50 marks with NEGATIVE MARKING (1 marks for each wrong) coming into play. The total time allotted was only 60 minutes.. Thus we had 100 questions, 60 minutes, qualifying score 50 with negative marking (the toughest part to have) giving a nice kick to our brains to give the optimum..(phew! Thank god I got through).
And the results were out with me scoring the highest (probably 72 out of 100) at 6.00 pm..
Then we were back to our pavilions preparing ourselves for the next days innings of technical and HR.. It was the 28th of Feb night long to pass..
All might be very aware that Tech Mahindra never spares anyone in the technical section ok.. (not even if u have childish cute look hehehe..). Mine number came out around 3pm, the interview was as follows:
ME: May I get in sir.
HR: Yes please.
ME: Thank u sir (walk smartly and stood close to the chair)
HR: Please take your seat (never sit until he asks u to do so- which shows that u r respecting the person).
ME: Thank u sir.
HR: So Animesh can I have your testimonials (papers).
ME: (Stood up straight and gave it to him; Generally unknowingly or under stress some do not do so which shows disgrace to the HR; Always try to show that u respect the person sitting in front of u) Here it is.
Well to be speaking in short about the details of what questions were asked I would like to rather say that except Maths
and automata there was no other left related to cs steam from which I wasn't asked from which even includes control systems, not to mention C, C++, microprocessor, DBMS, OS, Digital Logic, Algorithms, Data Structures and all that stuffs..
In the end HR asked me about anything that I had to ask him or like that.. I asked and then left the room.
Mine technical was quite good could answer about 80-85% of the questions asked but it lasted for around 50 minutes (huge naa!).. I was quite confident of getting through the technical..
The technical results were declared around 5pm and my name was read out first. Mine was the first turn to go for the HR interview..
I was mainly asked from my CV and the form which we had to fill up after we had cleared the aptitude..
I was asked about my goals, why Engg. and all that stuff requiring your communication skills to be into the act instantly. Be confident and be honest and never try to bluff ok..They r the bosses they will judge in seconds ok..
Never loose your cool and behave properly.. And yes never answer in any other language other than ENGLISH.. I was asked in 3 different languages but I answered all of them in ENGLISH..
Finally results were out and I was selected..
Thank u GOD and maa and baba who always believed in me..
Hope this would help many to just to get themselves prepared well for Tech Mahindra..
Hope to see u soon in Tech Mahindra..
