Steps of Recruitment:
(Entirely Online process due to the Pandemic)
1) Aptitude test & Psychometric test.
2) GD (Depends on them, for my time there was no GD due to the pandemic).
3) Personal Interview.
Aptitude test:-
The test consisted of 4 sections.
Time for Verbal, Logical and Quants was a total 60 minutes and the total 60 questions (each has 20 questions).
Time for Technical was 30 minutes for 30 questions.
A) Verbal, which was pretty easy if you are familiar with comprehension and some vocabulary.
B) Logical, which had MAH CET pattern questions all about puzzles, syllogisms, analogy, odd man out, Data sufficiency, and Abstract reasoning.
C) Quants, which had normal profit and loss, SI, Mixtures and Allegations, number theory you can practice it from IndiaBix.
D) Technical, which was a mixture of basic questions to some numerical ones. Be well prepared for technical as I found it difficult than most of the core companies' technical tests. Try to manage your time in aptitude which is the key to crack it!
A psychometric test is a simple test just to judge your behaviour and mindset. No correct or wrong answers.
Personal Interview (both Technical and HR simultaneously via online):-
It was about 30 mins. The Panel consisted of 2 technical people and 1 HR person. The interview was conducted on MS Teams. At the start, everyone greeted each other and then they asked me to introduce myself along with my family background. My suggestion is that unless they mention to speak about family background do not unnecessarily fill up the time.
Then one of them asked me my favourite subjects which were Electrical Machines and Power systems. They asked questions regarding synchronous gen and Ind motors. I found that they were going deep gradually step by step. At some point I got stuck then they explained the answer and then the next question.
HR asked some questions regarding some situations like explaining the situation of time management which you have faced. Remember to go from the website of Tata Power they ask regarding their values which is SCALE. I felt the interview was pretty smooth and there were some questions which I fumbled to answer but don't worry it happens to all no one is right 100%. The result were out the next day which I was not expecting:) and yes got selected for GET Electrical!
